Bark Busters - Mike The Dog Trainer

Mike is an absolutely great at what he does, he really cares about both the dogs and the families he works with. -Our puppy george is more responsive, confident, and more importantly, George is content. -Mike also gave me and my wife simple, everyday ways to keep building on that progress. -Working with Mike was a true pleasure — his upbeat attitude, patience, and genuine love for dogs made training fun and rewarding. While otherwise easy and well behaved, our 18 month old dog, Moxie, became aggressive and reactive while on leash when he would see other dogs. While we tried to correct the behavior, we realized that we just did not know how to train him not to react. By the time we noticed the behavior, he was too worked up to respond to us. Cassidy came to our home for a consultation, and helped us understand the drivers of his behavior, especially in relationship to our older dog who is often on walks with him. She was able to train us on exercises we could do with Moxie while he was calm, that would prevent his reactions on walks. We really appreciated her not just training the dogs, but training the trainers (i.e., us), and explaining the rationale for what we would be doing. We are sticking to the program and saw immediate improvements that have led to both happier dogs and people. We are fortunate to have Cassidy as a resource.

It seems almost unbelievable, but within 15 minutes of our first session at the house, the dog’s demeanor completely shifted for the better. Prior to our first session, our dog had a lot of fear reactivity, and it was above my pay grade to manage. I was in over my head and have tried Couple other trainers before. Ever since the first session that personality has drastically lessened. I continue to look forward to the growth as our lessons progress.
