About Barks and Rec. Animal Training and Behavior
Barks and Rec. Animal Training and Behavior is the only facility of its kind in northern Michigan. We use modern, science-based, and empathy-driven positive reinforcement training methods to help you and your dog live your best lives together. Our trainers are highly educated in learning theory, behavior modification, ethology, puppy development, behavior analysis, and more. Our services include group classes, private and in-home training for: puppy socialization, manners and obedience; aggression, reactivity, and separation anxiety; CGC testing and therapy dog prep; and dog sports, including agility, scent work, Rally O, and AKC Fit Dog. Visit our temperature-controlled facility located just South of Chum's Corner in Traverse City.

Fun place
Alicea has done an amazing job for us. We have a Shepherd who has some fear based aggression, and Alicea has gone above and beyond for us in terms of helping us try to rehabilitate the dog. Her customer service is fantastic.
