I was honestly really nervous about sending my dog away for a board-and-train program, but choosing Behaved Dog Training turned out to be one of the best decisions I’ve made. From the very first intake interview, I already noticed improvements in how I was able to communicate with my dog and get them to listen. That alone gave me so much confidence in the process. Throughout the training and afterward, the trainer has been incredibly supportive—always available to answer questions and help with anything I need. Since completing the program, my dog’s behavior has improved tremendously. The difference is night and day, and it’s made such a positive impact on our daily life. I highly recommend Behaved Dog Training to anyone who feels unsure or overwhelmed—this experience truly exceeded my expectations.

When we first reached out to Sierra we had had our dogs separated for over a year due to inter house hold aggression. After many fights between our dogs, we were hopeless and couldn’t manage them in the same house, even separated. Then we reached out to Beehaved Dog Training. The first time I talked to Sierra on the phone about our situation, she knew exactly what to ask to better understand our situation. Then she came over for our evaluation and ended up having a mini training session with us for 3 hours! We were blown away by her knowledge and experience, and the fact that she didn’t rush us and truly cared that we (and our dogs) benefitted from the experience. Shortly thereafter, she picked up our aggressive dog, for his 8 week behavior modification board and train program, where his brother (housemate) joined him halfway through to reintroduce them in a neutral place. They were taking turns at the water bowl the first day! We were amazed that she was able to put them in that situation and see the 4 week head start payoff. While we missed them dearly, she kept us up to date with pictures/videos, weekly emails, and lots of posts on her instagram stories. I still make a point to watch her stories to learn how I can be a better dog handler (and all the cuties she gets to work with) everyday. When the time finally came for our dogs to come home, Sierra brought them back and took the time to show us how to manage their e-collars and manage them using all the new skills they learned, like going to and holding place (my favorite), going in their kennel on command, holding a position (sit or down) until we tell them to break, wearing a muzzle, and both on and off leash walking. They’ve been home for almost a month now and we haven’t had a single fight break out. Honestly, I don’t think we would have been able to get to this point without her! And to top it all off - at Beehaved Dog Training, there’s always the opportunity to learn more through her instagram videos, in a private session, or at the group classes she holds every other weekend. We plan to board our dogs with her when we’re out of town because they simply love being on the property, going on pack walks, and refreshing their skills. We are so grateful for Sierra’s well-rounded, compassionate and expert training for our Basset Hound Veggie. Always with kindness and a big dose of laughter, Sierra completely changed our experience with our new puppy. We opted for the 5 week program. 2 weeks when she was 4 months and 3 weeks when she was older. Scheduling was a breeze. Sierra picked her up and dropped her off. Veggie learned numerous skills, and her training was tailored to my needs to be able to trail-walk off leash, to be good with guests, to be kind to my more delicate pets (bunnies, cat). Sierra did all that and more. You’ll be so glad you said yes to her program. She’s a gem!
