We sent our newly adopted dog to Sierra for the 30 day board and train. She was amazing! Since that time, she has also come to our house to work with us, and also to the lake on our boat to help me recognize behaviors and train properly. This puppy has SO much energy and drive but learns quickly, and Sierra has been supportive when my last nerve was fried. She immediately answers my texts, responds to email promptly and is definitely a pro! My dog loves her. I could go on, but suffice it to say I highly recommend her!

Great communication, and very thorough when explaining the process. She was very patient with both me and my hyperactive Pomsky, Xander; giving me the tools to work him through his anxieties and make training easier. We sent our two dogs, Lola and Willie, to Sierra for 4 weeks of board and train. Lola is 4.5 and has always been a very anxious dog. She struggles with reactivity, especially with new humans. She is very independent and can be defiant - she knows the rules but often chooses to ignore them. Willie is just over 1 and is a total lover and goof, but has a very short attention span and A LOT of energy. He was a true nightmare on a leash. I had honestly accepted that Lola was the way she was and she wouldn't change much. Though it was a financial investment and so hard to be apart from our babies for 4 weeks, I can honestly say it was absolutely worth it and I'm so glad we decided to trust Sierra. We are blown away by what our dogs learned. I never thought Lola could be an off leash dog as she has never had good recall. So when we were walking her on Sierra's property the day we picked her up and we could let the long line leash drop, I couldn't believe my eyes! Lola did not wander far and came back when called. And the same for Willie! Willie, who I could not walk on a leash, can now heel beside me. His recall is shocking. When we picked up the dogs and Sierra was showing us everything, one of the doors opened as Sierra was momentarily stepping out. Willie followed her and as soon as my husband called Willie back, he turned around and rushed back to us. What would have normally been a scary situation (dog running out the door into an open area) was a situation we now had control over. The best part was that Willie was excited to come back to us - he wasn't afraid of getting in trouble or returning reluctantly - he gleefully turned around and pranced back. We had concerns about 4 weeks of training "changing" our dogs. It did not. Our reunion with our dogs was so touching. Now that we have them back, we can see first hand that our Willie is still a loving goof ball and Lola is still our gentle, protective girl. The only difference is that now - they listen to us! Some things you can expect from Sierra and her team - photo and video updates (we LOVED getting these), email updates, and when needed, texting updates. Sierra's use of the e-collar is professional and ethical. We previously trained Lola with a different trainer who used the e-collar. Lola's training did not stick and truthfully, she had not changed very much at the end of the training. After Sierra taught us how she uses the e-collar, it was evident that Sierra uses the e-collar in a totally different way than most trainers. Sierra uses it so it becomes a positive thing for the dog. (Look up NePoPo - Sierra is certified!) The dogs are not afraid of the collar at all. Her knowledge and expertise is very impressive. I highly recommend Beehaved Dog Training. Sierra is trustworthy, kind, and will love your dogs and treat them with care. Our dogs have such a wonderful foundation now - we can't wait to keep working them.
