I didn't want to write this review under my personal account because I don't really want to be reached out to afterwards. I initially met Shane with my pup and he was great, a lot of knowledge and I was hoping we would be doing most of our training with him. But we didn't which is fine. Our trainer was good, very good at his job, but every visit it just seemed like he couldn't remember where we left off, let alone if we had even met before at one point lol. I understand we are human and he meets a lot of people. I work in an industry of working with clients too and I still can remember all of them and what we did last time. We spent $1500, got 4 sessions and was given an extra session thanks to Shane. We split them into 30 minute increments so that we could stretch our sessions into 10 instead of 5 and went maybe every 2-3 weeks. I gained a lot of knowledge don't get me wrong, and it set me on a path to help train the remainder on my own. It was just a little frustrating to not even be recognized or remembered where we are at in our training and what to do next when we are 5+ sessions in. I just feel like we could've gotten further in our training sooner than we did. Bellum is great at training, i would just recommend if anybody wants to use them to maybe do a board and train or do your sessions weekly so nothing gets forgotten maybe

We paid upfront for four weeks of training and we were going to pay more the next month for two more weeks. Thank God we didn’t pay it all upfront but we still lost a lot of money and we quit coming after the third week of training because it was unprofessional and a waste of time. First red flag should have been that they were so adamant that there were no refunds not even if your dog died before training could start! Anyway we were stupid and handed over the money then came for first day of training and it wasn’t the owner the person that we interviewed with it, no it was this girl who was not professional cussed like a sailor and spent our first one hour class all on how to put the herm springer collar on our dog which we could have learned in like 10 minutes. She said the same thing over and over again didn’t do one bit of training and then we left got in the car and we were like what did we just do. Second week we show up and because the owner had fired the girl he was now going to be the trainer and we thought ok this will be better but he didn’t show for the appointment and when we called we had to reschedule he wasn’t feeling well. So second visit again they tell us to bring your dog hungry so he will work for treats well poor thing was hungry and there were no treats and he had sent someone out to buy some and in the meantime he talked and talked and talked and repeated himself and no actual training was done. He did try to upsell us and said well there is only so much we can do in four one hour sessions you really need to add more weeks but I had already given him 2000 dollars for nothing so I wasn’t about to do anymore. We then came for our third session and agin there was no plan no rhyme or reason and he couldn’t remember what week we were on and he got his folder out that had clients paperwork and then just sat it down and started talking saying some of the same things he had already said the previous class. We decided the fourth and final class wasn’t worth going to because it was just that bad!! I’m so irritated that we handed over that kind of money to someone that had no plan whatsoever, and had no professionalism. We interviewed with some other really good dog trainers before going with Bellum K9, but the Bellum K9 guys were very good salesmen, I’ll give them that, but the training experience was abysmal so please don’t waste your money or your time!!

I have 2 3year old Belgians that were a hand full to say the lest. They would not mind at home, or in public very well, pulled on the leash. They could not be trusted at home alone. After Bellum K9 I can take them off leash just about anywhere, and get asked every time how and who train those dogs. The other amazing thing about Shane and his team is you don’t just take them there and they train your dog, no they teach you how to train like them, I have learn so much in the few weeks and the stuff works. If you have been on the fence trying to make your mind up is it worth it there is no question ITS WORTH EVERY PENNY. Thank you Bellum K9 for turning my crazy dogs into 2 amazing animals.
