Miracle workers! I got a free dog from Craigslist knowing he would need some training. What I didn’t know was how hard he would challenge me for dominance, I was ready to give up… multiple times. Bernard and team taught me the tools to properly, and safely, train my dog. I now have the best dog, everywhere I go I have people commenting on how great my dog is, how well behaved he is. It took a lot of grit, hard work and teamwork but it has paid off! I recommend them to everyone but I can attest they are amazing with behavioral issues too.

I started working with Bernard shortly after I brought my rescue dog Ollie home. I have never had a rescue dog before and realized pretty quickly that both of us needed some help. Bernard was able to provide both Ollie and I with the tools we needed to stay calm during stressful situations. We have both come so far and although we still have issues at times, our experience with Bernard has helped both of us to learn how to handle those challenges in a better way.

One of the trainers here was our private trainer for years before. He truly worked miracles with two of our other dogs and now we are back with a third! Do we constantly adopt dogs that love to be misbehavin’? Guilty! 😁 We previously worked with members of Berd Dog Co. regarding dog reactivity and human reactivity. Have you ever even tried to find a trainer that will work with a human reactive dog?? It’s no small feat to find one. Berd Dog Co. never shies away from a challenge, they do not discriminate against dog breeds (which I LOVE), and they do not shame you for your lack of knowledge or training when you arrive. They meet you and your pup where you are at training wise and the best part is you can drop your dog off for a day of training (and play) for only $60!! There are packages that drop the price cheaper than that. If you have ever researched private training then you know what a complete bargain this is! They also have an opportunity to just drop your dog off to play for the day which is even more budget friendly. The trainers are so sweet and qualified and I feel comforted knowing my giant, nervous, notoriously strong willed breed dog (who can apparently bite harder than a lion 🦁) is being treated like I myself would treat her while I am gone. Sometimes it is scary to have a dog that you can’t get to behave the way you would like and I promise you Berd Dog Co will get you the result that you want. Bernard is a well of k9 wisdom. The first day I worked with him, he got my strong willed dog to respect him after one walk. Osan was anxious, territorial, and had bitten a few people. Bernard patiently listened and helped identify the trauma Osan had been through. He noticed that Osan was confused and viewed me more as a friend than a leader. Bernard taught me the importance of controlling resources, roaming, and giving Osan a designated place for him to feel safe and secure. Bernard trained me to notice the shifts in my dogs behavior, how to give action commands, and created a plan for when Osan has an anxious episode. He was able to teach an old stubborn dog new tricks and made Osan feel understood. He has been a true gift for my relationship with Osan. 10/10 would recommend to a friend!
