Best Behaved Dogs

Janet was extremely helpful with our 5 month old golden doodle. We found her to be very knowledgeable. She gave us great, positive strategies to deal with behaviors we are trying to curb (nipping, jumping). We really appreciated how carefully she listened to our issues, and was able to tailor her advice to our specific needs. Taking on a puppy was more than we bargained for. Janet's calm, clear advice has worked for our pooch, and given us hope there is light at the puppy tunnel! We highly recommend her!

Janet is absolutely awesome! She demonstrated both expertise AND professionalism, and we truly appreciated that. I was literally in tears as our 9 week old Bernedoodle was nipping me constantly... I knew that we needed some training support, but she was too young to attend any puppy classes at that time. Janet responded to my email inquiry quickly, and we were able to have her come to our home to help within a few days. Janet spent several hours with my partner and I-- giving us tips and techniques for positive training and enrichment. She provided detailed notes and resources after our session, and called to check in with me a couple weeks after to ensure that we were in a great place and still progressing in the right direction. I am so appreciative of Janet and the impact she has made with us in our home. We are now able to attend puppy classes for socialization, but I plan to reach out to Janet again as our puppy gets older for 1:1 skills reinforcement.

Janet is amazing - a true lifesaver! We are new dog owners with a rescue puppy with separation anxiety and we were at our wits' end. In just one two-hour session, Janet came to our rescue and provided the training "reset" that we all needed. Not only did she give us great tips and techniques for training our new dog, she also set us up for success by guiding us on how our own behaviors can advance - or hinder - our dog's progress. We're now working with Janet on more advanced training. Highly recommend!!!

I can’t say enough how wonderful Janet is as a trainer. Her approach to working through training challenges is great. First, she really listens to what you say. But then she elevates it to the next level using her experience to know the questions to ask to further help you understand what you’re experiencing with your dog. She offers multiple resolutions as you work with her to figure out the best way forward for you and your dog. And best of all her instructional advice is easy to understand and follow. I found that especially helpful as I’ve found after other classes I couldn’t remember the steps I needed to follow and ended up frustrated. Finally, Janet’s calm demeanor helped remove a lot of stress I was putting on myself. This led to both my dog and me being more successful!
