FirstBarkKaryn helped up so much in training our golden retriever Barnaby. Barnaby is almost four and had spent his previous life outside in the backyard. We had such a great experience working with Karyn! When we started training, our puppy was just about 10 weeks old, and we wanted to make sure we set a solid foundation early on. Karyn was incredibly patient, knowledgeable, and supportive throughout the whole process. Thanks to her guidance, our puppy quickly learned how to walk nicely on a leash, “place,” and follow the “down” command. Karyn gave us the tools and confidence to continue the training at home, and we’ve seen such amazing progress in a short time. We’re so thankful for her help and highly recommend her to anyone looking to start their puppy off on the right paw!

We could not have had a more positive experience with Karyn Dossenback of Best-Behaved Pups as our personal dog trainer. She is highly knowledgeable, professional, patient, and friendly toward both us and our 3-month-old puppy, Jack. After talking each session to be tailored toward exactly what we needed and wanted to work on with our lab. We not only talked about basic training, nutrition food, and his treats but there was Puppy Playtime that allowed Jack to interact with puppies his age. We learned so much from her during each step-by-step session, as well as additional informative links about appropriate toys, feeding tools, etc. When Jack started his stubborn stage, she was also accessible between sessions via text or email to field additional questions. I loved the fact that she came to our home and worked with him in his environment so he stayed focused. We consider it a gift to have found Karyn as a trainer/friend to give us a solid start as a new family!
Our dog greatly benefited from training with Karyn! She can now walk calmly on a leash, knows many commands, can ride in the car calmly, and previously was terrified of getting her nails grinded but now I’m able to do it at home with no issues. Highly recommend!
