Sage, the owner and trainer of Best Board and Train, is truly amazing! I would highly recommend her if you interested in getting help with your dog's behaviors. She has years of experience working with all breeds, sizes, and age of dogs. She will board & train dogs in her own home and return them listening, well behaved, and under control. She will also come to your home to do training sessions or meet you in the park. Sage uses lots of tools and techniques to help get your dog to respond to the training, such as crate training, clicker training, prong and e-collars. She not only works with your dog, but also with you, as the owner, to teach you the proper methods to help the training stick for your dog since consistency and practice are necessary. Sage's help with our older rescue dog (who is dog-reactive) has been invaluable to us. She understands the traits of different dog breeds and the psychology of dogs to help explain the dog's natural behaviors and then how to work on becoming a dominant pack leader so your dog will listen to and follow you. She observes the dog's behaviors in the moment and knows how to respond. The proof of Sage's dog training skills is evident in her own dogs and just how incredibly well behaved they are. Sage will get you results, even with the most difficult dog!

Sage was referred to us by our breeder who is very particular about her pups. I can see why. She is wonderful. We had a home visit but it was pretty obvious we needed more help for our rather unruly 7 mo old lab. The change in our puppy after 3 wks with Sage was remarkable. Worth every penny. Since then we have boarded our now 11 mo pup with her because there’s no one else we trust if we leave town. And Betty Lou adores her. She can barely wait to get out of the car when we go to Sage’s house! She is so knowledgeable. Highly recommend!!
