Best Dog Ltd.

We have two adorable but extremely stubborn 3 year old West Highland Terriers, brother and sister. We had not had any success with other dog trainers, but after a neighbor recommended Best Dog, we contacted Nora and signed up for a 3 home visit obedience training package which we just completed. WOW! What a difference her methods made! We saw IMMEDIATE improvement in both of our Westies. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

Reactive Rover classes 1 and 2 are highly effective for dogs who have difficulties with meeting new dogs. the first class of RR1 was as you can imagine, 4 dogs barking, whining, and being generally misbehaved. Through Nora's all positive instruction and six 1hour classes later, those same dogs were calm and collected in the presence of each other! RR2 is just a continuation of RR1 with 4 different dogs, By class 2 of RR2 the room was as quiet as a library at closing time. The best part is that Nora's all positive approach is with the humans too! I never felt like an idiot when I did something wrong in class. She answers any questions I have clearly and patiently. We wondered if we could ever take our rescue dog anywhere, thanks to Nora and her expertise we no longer have to fear going on a walk in our neighborhood. These classes are well worth it! If you are looking for a trainer who is compassionate to your loved baby, and uses positive teaching methods, not scolding , no e-collar, shocking or chocking collars, and you want to enjoy while you educate, interact positively with your dog, and your dog has fun while learning. Nora is your place. Thank you Nora, I definitely will be taking your Intermediate Obedience class and Reactive II, if you decide to open this class in spring 2022. The most important professional qualities of Nora are calm courteous direction and answers. Nora builds you and your pup up to succeed. You can’t teach kindness, you have to be kind. We completed three private sessions with Nora to help address our dog's reactivity to other dogs on walks. Nora was a pleasure to work with, and provided clear guidance and strategies for us to use and practice with our dog between sessions. She introduced new skills and exposure to other dogs in a way that was structured and comfortable for us and our dog. We've seen steady improvement in our dog's reactivity to other dogs on walks, and we feel much more confident in supporting and managing his behavior. We had a great experience and definitely recommend her services!
