Best Dog Training Academy

We worked with Mara, and our whole family fell in love with her including our 2 young kids and our 5 month old golden retriever named Daisy. When kids and animals love a person, you know they are in good hands, and Mara took care of Daisy like one of her own. We originally were going to do the 3-week day-training package, but we are so glad we went with the 4-week package. That last week literally gave us a different, more manageable puppy. Mara tried a variety of collars and leashes to see what worked best for Daisy. She also gave us a multitude of one-on-one demonstrations so we would feel proficient in using the same techniques/cues. Mara gave our dog exposure to a variety of well-behaved dogs of all sizes and personalities so the good traits would rub off on Daisy. Before training, it was so stressful to take Daisy on walks, and we dreaded coming across neighbors or other dogs due to her barking/behaviors. Our dog is so easy to walk on leash now. We have no more pulling/barking/lunging or reactive-excited behaviors out of Daisy. It was like Mara turned on Daisy’s adult brain and got her into work mode instead of wild puppy mode. Multiple neighbors have complimented Daisy’s progress and praised Mara’s dog-handling skills. We are forever grateful to Mara and Best Dog Training Academy for giving us a well-behaved family pet and the skills to train our future dogs.
