Best Foot Forward K9 Training

We came to Amy for help with leash walking with our 18 month-old chocolate lab, we left training two weeks later, with so much more! Before training we would avoid putting Bailey on a leash because she would instantaneously pull, now we go walking at every opportunity! Bailey also does a much better job of other commands such as sit, down, place and here (recall). Amy is amazing, knowledgeable, and so easy to work with. I cannot say enough good things!

Exceptional ... that is the word that comes to mind when thinking of the training Amy Farmer (Best Foot Forward K9 Training) did for our adopted dog. She is very knowledgeable of all the aspects of training (physical, mental, and psychological) and includes them in her program to help ensure the best possible results. Her experience pays off ten fold in developing a skilled, under-control, well-mannered, and happy dog. Additionally, she does a wonderful job including the family in the process and teaching us how to be good owners. She took our Wally (a 4 year old pointer-retriever mix, rescue) from being a good dog to being a very, very good dog, and provided us the path for him being every owner's desire in a K9 family member. Amy is the best! In the beginning I was nervous about finding a trainer that I clicked with and felt like I could trust with my girl Lucy. Amy scheduled a phone consult with me and helped me understand her mentality, methods, and expectations. Our goals were to make progress on leash walking, reactivity, and maintaining a calm demeanor so that Lucy can travel with me and be a companion at the office. Amy is a true professional and helped Lucy and I make leaps and bounds of progress. We put Lucy through her board and train and received consistent training updates and saw progress immediately. Amy was always very responsive and made a huge effort to get to know me, understand our goals, and helped with my many questions. 10/10 recommend BestFootForwardK9 training.

We took our 6 month Labradoodle, Lola, to train with Amy and the transformation has been amazing. We explained our areas of concern and Amy assessed and worked in each area. Lola would constantly drag us during walks. Since coming back from training with Amy, she walks next to me without pulling. Lola no longer ignores us when we are calling her to us, which was a big problem before her training. The whole experience has been great. We are still continuing to work with our dog, and use the skills Amy taught us. I would recommend her training program!
