Best Life K9 Academy

Highly recommend Chris and Best Life k9 Academy. We adopted 7 1/2 yr Bella from WARF. She likes to bark..actually loves to bark. We tried a franchise training facility here in Reno that only uses treats and positive reinforcement in a room to help stop her reactivity. While that is a terrific idea..for a dog who wants to yell at people and dogs, it is four walls and no real life scenarios. After 4/5 -1hour "trainings" we gave up and never went back. That place wasted our time and $$$, and we reached out to Chris who works with some of the dogs at the WARF sanctuary and Animal control. Chris gave us tools to work with Bella at Idlewild Park..which presents all kinds of dogs and people in an open environment. We met him there twice and he switched up the technique to better suit Bella on the second time. It was the difference that has taught Bella to make the decision not to bark but just to be a dog walking and enjoying the surroundings. Of course it takes us reinforcing his training..but it's the exact path we needed for Bella. She is happier and so are we. The future is bright and promising to be able to go out and be anywhere with a well behaved girl. Thank you Chris..from Bella and her pet parents!

Yesterday was my dog Huey's first session with Chris. I was so impressed by how knowledgeable he is with the problems I am having with my dog. He's awesome how he handles Huey and has a lot of patience not only with my dog but me too! This is my first time with a trainer and am looking forward to our next training session. I would highly recommend Chris. His passion and dedication towards dogs is what I wanted in a trainer. Thank you Chris.

We met Chris at the Silver Springs Animal Shelter. Clearly our newly adopted dog LOVES him! He was willing to go above and beyond to help us, and he's been wonderful figuring out Riley's (Anatolian Shepherd and Great Pyrenees mix) issues and how to solve them. He's helping us with general obedience training, and I'll be using Riley as my service dog, so he'll be helping to train her for good behavior in all types of situations. We're very grateful we crossed paths with Chris, and I know Riley is always happy to see him and disappointed when he leaves! Thank you, Chris! You're the best!!
