My fiance and I adopted a fearful dog. We quickly realized we were in over our heads after she continued to growl, lunge, snarl and nip at new people who came into our home. In addition to that she would growl and lunge at strange objects and noises on walks. I contacted Better Dog Behavior Now in a panic and we haven’t looked back since! After months of consistency, marker training and patience with Honey, we are now able to do the following: bring new people into our home without fear of her nipping and lunging, have enjoyable walks together, go days and even weeks in between reactions to her triggers on walks. If you are feeling overwhelmed about your dog’s behavior I highly recommend Doug! His training methods are easy to learn and they work. Our stress over having a reactive dog has decreased significantly since working with him. He helped manage our expectations and as a result we have a much happier household!

We needed help with a new rescue dog who feared my husband and others. With Better Dog Behavior Now training, we saw immediate and progressive improvement. Doug explained the training every step of the way, let us practice the activity to ensure we did it correctly, and gave us brief activities to do in-between training appointments. Scheduling was easy and convenient. We went from having a nervous dog who would hide from people to a dog who would sit next to my husband and guests in a noticeably short amount of time. I would highly recommend Doug and Better Dog Behavior Now training.
Doug did a great job with our dog Nora (one year old Pomeranian). He worked with Nora as well as us to overcome her behavior issues and she made great strides in her improvement. Doug was an excellent trainer to work with, giving valuable advice and using positive reinforcement. We are so thankful to have found him and would highly recommend him to anyone who needs help training their dog!
