Better Manners Home Dog Training

We contacted Pete to help us with our 1-year-old pup, Finn and our 8-year-old girl, Izzie. It was the BEST decision we could have made! Pete taught us how to really communicate with our pups and how to read their body language. He also showed us that we needed to approach our timid dog, Izzie, differently than our more boisterous baby, Finn. Not only do our dogs listen WAY better to us at home, but we can also take them on walks now without being pulled around the entire neighborhood. Best of all, the training has really helped us to relate better to both dogs. I feel like we understand them so much better now and we are able to give them more consistent commands in "dog speak," making it WAY easier to understand what we want them to do. We have recommended Pete to lots of friends and family and will continue to send people his way. We enjoy our dogs so much more now and I am thrilled with the progress they have made in a short period of time. If your fur babies need a little training (and, let's be honest, you might need some too), definitely call Pete! He is so informative, patient and knowledgeable. You won't regret it.

Peter has been great with my 2 GSP's. I have had such frustrations with their behavior and couldn't keep up with their high energy and high maintenance. Peter is teaching me a new way of thinking about my relationship with them and they are responding well! I thought I knew what I was doing with training but I am learning so much with Peter and I appreciate his calm, kind manner and his authority with the dogs. He is so positive and very knowledgeable!

I’ve had two different trainers for my 16 mo old puppy Afghan & for some reason they think one size fits all! Not so with Pete! He listened to my issues with an unruly sighthound & gave me some awesome tips on how to handle her! She also has stress issues that he helped me with! It’s a slow process to watch her change but Pete was a true godsend! I can not recommend him enough! If you have a sensitive dog - Pete’s your guy! He has a gentle spirit himself & not for one moment did he make me feel stupid for any questions or for the many mistakes I made! He’s a gem & if you need someone who listens & genuinely cares - call Better Manners!!
