Beyond Sit And Stay Professional Dog Training

We recently completed Mabel’s Basic Obedience Class with Paula Shupe at Beyond Sit and Stay. It’s hard to fully express how meaningful this experience has been for us. Mabel started as a young puppy full of energy, curiosity, and plenty of playful chaos. Over the course of the class, I watched her slowly grow into a more focused, confident little dog who truly began to understand what was being asked of her. We saw real progress with important commands (sit, down, stay, come, place, drop it, and leave it )not just in class, but at home and in everyday life. Those small moments of her choosing to focus, check in with me, and respond consistently became some of the most rewarding parts of this journey. Paula was such an important part of that growth. She met Mabel exactly where she was, with so much patience, kindness, and encouragement. She never rushed her, only supported her in a way that built confidence for both of us. Even more than obedience skills, I saw Mabel’s confidence grow. She’s walking better on leash, listening more consistently, and building trust in herself and in me as her handler. I’m so grateful for the foundation this class gave her. It truly feels like the beginning of something special. I would highly recommend Beyond Sit and Stay and Paula Shupe to anyone wanting to build a strong, loving bond with their dog.
