Beyond the Dog

Very impressed with Beyond the Dog and our trainer, Erin! She throughly got to know my dog and the issues we wanted to address for him. She came up with strategies and training exercises to help with his separation anxiety and helped me feel confident that I could practice these strategies on my own. I've now been able to leave my dog by himself for increasingly longer periods of time! It is clear to me that Erin has a great understanding of dog behavior. I'm very thankful for their help! I would not hesitate to recommend Beyond the Dog and Erin to anyone in the area looking for dog training!

Trinity is brilliant beyond her years and takes her job very seriously, yet makes a dumb owner feel comfortable asking stupid questions as they try to figure out why the pup behaves so much better for her…. By the end of the five weeks, I had a very well-behaved five-month old Golden that listens to me nearly as well as he listens to his trainer. And she makes it fun, too. So worth the money, it’s an investment that builds a foundation that I think will last for years (so long as I remember her advice).

Beyond the Dog has made getting a puppy a wonderful experience. At 12 weeks, the trainer picked up our girl and she came back a well mannered toddler pup. Erin the trainer brought our pup home and spent much time showing us all she has learned as well as showing us how to continue her training. We also have used Erin to watch our dog while we go out of town. Our dog loves going over to Erin’s house to play with the other dogs. It is very reassuring knowing she is well taken care of while we are out of town. I highly recommend Beyond the Dog to anyone who wants their dog trained!

Beyond the Dog and especially Erin Ventura, our Trainer are absolutely phenomenal! My 1.5 year old Sofie definitely had me trained before Erin started working with us. Over time Erin has turned that around—reactivity, barking, jumping, sit, stay, wait, place, come. Sofie is a joy to walk now. Choosing BtD for training has been the absolute best investment for Sofie and me! Just as important, Erin had effective solutions for my physical challenges like weak wrists, hand arthritis, bad knees and inability to run. She always had plenty of patience to modify routines for my challenges to help Sofie and me to be successful. I also appreciate her patience with my memory, sending written reminders and timely verbal cues. We are so grateful for Erin’s help and will miss her when our training is complete, but she has left us with her invaluable wealth of knowledge and experience
