I am VERY long overdue to write my review for BTD. We live in a 3-story townhome and when we brought our mini longhaired dachshund (Rainey) home 5 years ago, I told BTD I wanted to teach her not to climb the stairs (as well as put train her, etc). When they started with Rainey around 10 weeks old, she wasn’t progressing as quickly as they hoped so they allowed us to upgrade to their in home boarding program free of charge. 5 years later and our doggo is still SO well trained and we owe it to BTD. We let our dog have free range of our middle floor and she still knows not to climb the stairs. BTD set this foundation for us! Cannot recommend them enough.

Very grateful for our pups trainer, Sheyenne and Beyond the dog training. We had the board and train executive package - we have benefitted from this so much, the difference in our dogs behavior on walks, housebreaking and following commands is obvious. We also learned tools for maintaining preferred behaviors. Finally, having the option to board and train was a great start and supplement to his overall training. As a bonus, Sheyenne’s approach to training was firm but gentle and our dog really seemed happy to see her at each session. I can highly recommend this program to anyone who is shopping for dog training. Thanks so much!

Beyond The Dog has been an invaluable resource to our family. I have raved about this company to my friends and family for months and anyone who asks. Before bringing home our Airedale Terrier puppy, Ella, I scheduled an in-home consultation with BTD to prepare for her arrival which made me feel so much more prepared. Sheyenne helped us with this and she was wonderful. She made the transition from a dog free household to having a 10 week puppy as seamless as possible. Ella also did a 3 week hybrid board and train program with Ben. This was the best investment we’ve ever made. Ben is a master of his craft and communicates with dogs like a wizard. He is extremely professional, communicative, talented and helpful. BTD worked with my family’s travel schedule this summer and accommodated board/train sessions to fit our needs. Following each boarding week, Ben facilitated in-home training lessons to teach us the skills our pup learned from her time with him. In addition to those lessons, Ben also did one on one lessons with Ella around the house and at the dog park. Ben was so great at checking for our understanding and following up with any concerns we had from week to week. The support Ben provided to us was truly wonderful. In the past, I have encountered dog trainers that I would describe as “judgy” and made me feel stupid, so initially I was nervous seeking out training help for Ella. However, this was not the case with any trainer at BTD. While I know Ben trains many dogs each day, he made us feel like we were his only clients during our sessions. My puppy loves and respects Ben. Each time he arrived at the house, Ella lit up while also displaying appropriate behavior. In addition to behavior training, Ben was able to fully crate train our pup within the few days of her boarding. He was also able to improve her socialization skills during her time boarding. We loved hearing about all of the places they would go together. At the end of our boarding contract, I was actually very sad because Ben has been such a constant fixture in our household this summer. Ella will continue to board with BTD as needed and do monthly maintenance sessions with Ben so that she can continue to thrive. Also, shout out to Madeline and the rest of the internal team who makes communication and scheduling so easy! Thank you for all of your help with Ella the Airedale Terrier!

My experience with Beyond the Dog was top notch! In particular, our trainer Shyenne was incredible. She is extremely knowledgeable, patient, communicative and provided clear guidance for me to practice on my own. My super stubborn Frenchie, Malakai, has made night and day progress. I feel confident in my dog’s ability to listen. Integrating safety measures Shyenne taught us has been a game changer. Through her training, I can now confidently welcome guests, go on walks, and know how to control settings that set Malakai up for success. You can tell she truly cares about her clients. She was tuned in each session to my concerns, and found solutions quickly. I highly recommend utilizing Beyond the Dog (and Shyenne!) for your dog training needs!
