Big Paws of the Ozarks

We adopted our dog through Big Paws and also just went through the 2 week board and train program with Marshall. Marshall was so good with our pup - we received updates, photos, and videos throughout the whole process. We were amazed at how well our dog took to the training as well as how much care and love was shown to him throughout it. Marshall also gave us the knowledge and tools that we need in order to continue these training practices at home. We feel confident that we’ll be able to continue working with our pup to continue the positive path that Marshall has laid out— but we also take solace knowing that he is there for us should we have any questions or concerns in the future . We are so happy and thankful for Big Paws and all the fantastic folks we’ve met along the way.

We adopted Ophie through Big Paws of the Ozarks and later enrolled her in their board and train program, and I honestly can't say enough good things about our experience. It was hard being away from her for two weeks. We missed her a lot and wondered if it would really be worth it. The answer is absolutely yes. When Ophie came home, we were blown away by what she had learned. Not only did she know her commands, but she was attentive, responsive, and genuinely seemed to understand what was being asked of her. One of the biggest gifts this training gave us was freedom. We live on acreage, and Ophie is now able to run around our field off leash and just be a dog. Watching her explore, play, and enjoy herself while knowing she'll come right back when called (even from a distance) has been incredible. Her recall has been amazing and has given us so much confidence in her. Christian was our trainer who worked with Ophie, and he was wonderful throughout the process. He kept us updated, answered our questions, and clearly cared about her success. When she came home, he made sure we understood how to continue building on everything she had learned. From adopting Ophie through Big Paws to completing their training program, we've had a great experience. I know they have several trainers, but our experience with Christian was fantastic. If you're considering adoption, training, or both, I highly recommend Big Paws of the Ozarks. We are so grateful for everything they've done for Ophie and our family!
