We took our 3-year-old lab for a lesson in April because he absolutely loves the water, but we really had no idea what dock diving involved. We have since come back to Big Wave K9 multiple times. Austin (the owner) has been incredible from day one. He’s patient with our high-energy lab, truly cares about the dogs, and always puts their best interests first. He started us off slowly, helping our dog get comfortable swimming, finding the ramp, and building his confidence in the pool. We then moved to having our dog jump off the dock. Austin also took the time to explain everything about competitions and how to get started, which made the whole experience fun and stress-free for us as beginners to dog sports. Since then, we’ve had an absolute blast competing and learning alongside him. We’re huge fans of Big Wave K9 and highly recommend them to anyone interested in dock diving or looking for a place for their dog to learn to swim. We also get some GREAT pictures of our dog from them :)
