Bloomington Obedience Training Club

Kathy, you and your dog were referred to a behaviorist for your dog's reactivity issues in one of our classes. BOTC is dedicated to student safety and your dog was deemed to need behavior modification that our facility was not equipped to provide. You were given a referral for a behaviorist, and a club volunteer spent over an hour on the phone with you after a bite incident that, per our policy, resulted in your dog being excused from our facility. Understand that how your dog behaves at home, will be different than how she behaves in an environment full of running dogs, such as an Agility class. The Board of Directors approved a refund for the remaining Agility classes in your session, however, due to an accounting oversight, your refund was not sent. We apologize for this error. We are an all volunteer organization and our volunteers work hard to do the best job they can however, they are humans and make mistakes too. We were not aware of this oversight until you left this review and we began looking into it further. Had you contacted us directly regarding your refund, prior to leaving us this review, rest assured the matter would have been resolved in a much better, and faster manner. We typically do not issue refunds at all - as outlined in our terms and conditions. We did make an exception for your case. A refund check was mailed on May 18th, 2019. We also reached out to you by email on May 17th to resolve this matter.

We're sorry you felt you had that experience. We offer just a handful of dog training items and treats as a convenience to our students. We never intend to pressure anyone into buying any items, we offer them as a service to our students. Your instructor may have been recommending a training tool because she felt your dog would benefit from it. Thank you for bringing this to our attention, we will address your concerns.
