Blue Chip K9

Blue Chip K9 did an absolutely amazing job with our 6month old German Shepard. We decided to go with the Advanced Board and Train program and it was like we picked up a completely new dog! The staff was extremely knowledgeable and kept us update with her training while she was away. Each of the going home lessons and the "pre pickup" class was each helpful in their own ways. Before taking the dog home the trainers made sure that we were comfortable with the dogs training and how to maintain it long after pickup.

I am so glad to have found Blue Chip!! They were a god send. I have a one year old German Shepherd Husky, Mia. I enrolled Mia in the advanced train and boarding program. She loved everyone instantly. I felt beyond comfortable with Mia staying with them for 5 weeks. Dewayne, Vanessa and Mikayla are so knowledgeable and passionate about our pups! You can tell they really do care about the dogs they train. I recommend Blue Chip K9 100%!!!!

Blue Chip K9 did an outstanding job with our 9 month old Sheltie puppy. He went to stay with them for their Advanced Board & Train program right at six months and came back a different dog. He has so much more confidence now and is a great companion for our family. He was a high energy puppy that could get out of control. Now he still has a lot of drive, but equally understands when it is time to be calm. We have taken him numerous public places as well as countless off leash walks around our house and neighborhood and anytime others see him they ALWAYS compliment on how well behaved he is. DeWayne and Mikayla were amazing in his training and he still loves seeing them at the group training classes. Could not recommend more! Blue Chip K9 is phenomenal at what they do!

SPOILER ALERT – Blue Chip K9 is a LIFE CHANGER. About a year ago, my fiancé and I made the decision to adopt our very first puppy and, like many first-time puppy owners, made the choice to take on puppy training on our own. We quickly realized that we lacked the knowledge, consistency, and patience to properly socialize and train a young dog. Before we knew it we had a large 8-month old dog that had a lot of anxiety, lacked self-confidence, and had developed many bad habits due to our own mistakes that we then had no idea how to get under control. After a month of searching around for training options, we finally took our dog Huck to DeWayne at Blue Chip K9 for an evaluation. We knew right away that his team was the right fit for our family and signed Huck up that very night! Not only has DeWayne’s behavioral knowledge blown me away throughout this entire process, but what has impressed me even more is how much he truly cares. He continuously gives training tips for any situation that may come up, whether it’s part of the lesson or not, and is there for us 7 days a week to provide support if needed. Even when he realized that the original plan was not going to be the right course of action for Huck, DeWayne did everything he could do to accommodate us and come up with a plan that he felt would be the most beneficial based on the issues we were having and give Huck the biggest chance of success. Fast forward 4 months and we have now completed the on-leash and off-leash courses through private lessons and are in a completely different place with our boy! His obedience is night and day different and his confidence has sky-rocketed resulting in a MUCH happier dog. On top of that our own confidence has really improved as DeWayne has taught us how to control situations and has proven to us that putting in the work will produce amazing results. It’s hard to believe that just a few months ago we were questioning if Huck was going to work for our family, but now we are so excited for the future and to continue to see his growth through group lessons. So, if you and your family are on the fence about starting training, my advice is - DO IT! We consider ourselves a Blue Chip K9 family for life and just signed our newest dog up for puppy classes and eventual board and train to get him started off right and to avoid the issues we experienced with Huck. Overall, we can’t thank the entire team enough and there is no one else we would trust with our boys!

Dwayne,Vanessa and Staff are in my opinion the best in DFW, if not the entire state. The training and facilities are absolutely fabulous. They are very accommodating to each individual dogs needs and ability. They have done an amazing job with our “Gator”. We can’t wait to see what the next phase of training will do for Gator. If you are looking to make an investment in your dog, this is the place to be!! Happy training.
