Blue Cord K9

Our Danes just graduated from the Blue Cord K9 in-home program. Tay was our instructor and she was great. She successfully guided us and the Danes with litter syndrome. By graduation we were so pleased to see our Danes waiting to be released, greeting Tay and others without jumping and not charging or jumping on the fence. The Danes truly enjoyed each session with Tay, as did we. By their last session, they were calm and obedient. It has had a positive impact on how the dogs interact with us and others. Thanks, Tay!!!!

Kevin did an amazing job training my dog! He was always very honest with me, which is unfortunately hard to find in dog trainers. He helped control my dogs dog reactivity and dominant behaviors. I thought that I was already pretty knowledgeable on training, but Kevin has taught me so much. He is very big on teaching the owner, which is very nice to be able to continue to train my dog and not let him regress into his old habits. I would highly recommend anyone looking for a trainer to blue cord!

We had a great experience with Blue Cord and especially with our trainer Anthony. We brought our Belgian Malinois, Kya, through the training program and couldn’t be happier with how far she came. Anthony was great with Kya from day one. He was very knowledgeable, personable, patient, and always respectful. Anytime we had questions, he always had an answer and took the time to explain things to us. I really liked that he didn’t just tell us what to do, but explained why Kya was doing certain things and why we were training her a specific way for whatever she was learning. It really helped us understand her better and know how to continue working with her. Kya learned everything we were hoping she would and honestly even more than we expected. We saw a huge difference in her throughout the program, and we’re very happy with the results. I would definitely recommend Anthony to anyone looking for dog training. From talking with him, I would also expect the rest of the trainers at Blue Cord to be just as knowledgeable and great to work with. We will definitely be going back for any future training Kya might need, and if we can, we’ll definitely be requesting Anthony again. We really appreciate everything he did with Kya and would highly recommend Blue Cord!

I adopted my dog, Max, after 7 years of a terrible life. He faced neglect, abuse, and abandonment. After Max realized he had a safe home with me, he became very reactive towards people and other animals. I was at a loss, because I hadn’t had any similar issues the first 6 months that I had him. His daily walks became a challenge due to lunging, yanking, and barking. I had anxiety about ever being able to hire a dog sitter or a handyman because he had become so overprotective. Being a 90 lb pitbull, he was understandably very intimidating to others. The final straw was when he met my boyfriend for the first time and he bit him. I had so much fear about him potentially doing this to the wrong person and being put down. I contacted Blue Cord via their online survey. Within the same day, they called me to hear more about what Max was doing. Within the same week, Anthony was at my house to do an evaluation of Max. During the evaluation, Max all but tried to eat Anthony. Anthony did a great job of helping me stay calm while being very honest about the road ahead in training Max. He described dogs behaviors in a way that was easy to understand to someone like myself who wasn’t an expert. He laid out what the training plan would look like and what would be required of me during the time in between sessions to be successful. Without EVER laying a hand on Max, he was able to train my dog. He was easy to communicate with, laidback when I was in anxious dog-mom mode, and always as proud of Max as I was. Anthony even took phone calls from me during nonscheduled sessions if I had concerns about an upcoming situation and how I should best set Max up for success. Today, Max graduated from his training program. While I always knew Max’s heart, I walked away from this experience more confident that other people would be able to see in him what I do. Max and I walk every day. He rarely reacts to other animals or people, and when he does, I have the tools to handle the situation. Max and my boyfriend are VERY best friends now. I was so worried as to how I was going to navigate the future with Max’s reactivity, and I feel so much more at ease and in control after completing his obedience training. I cannot thank or recommend Anthony and Blue Cord enough! See attached photos for proof :)
