Blue Cord K9

While I have experience with herding breeds, I finally felt like I met my match with my Corgi, Felix. I needed the help with his deep stubborn streak and Blue Cord was recommended to me by my vet. And I couldn’t be happier with the results after spending this winter working with Larinda. My priority was off leash training, as I spend much of my time at horse farms and was finding it frustrating to do so with a dog that wouldn’t listen and had a desire to take off when not leashed, already having gone through multiple dangerous situations. We worked with in home training sessions, extremely flexible. She provided me with every tool to work through different scenarios and phases of his stubborn, spicy attitude. Felix is now a confident, obedient off leash dog, and enjoys his freedom. I greatly appreciate their lifetime commitment to his training, as I am sure, doing corgi things as a corgi does, I may have some days where his stubborn side creeps through. Having the ability to call up Larinda and ask for guidance is something I am grateful for. The other day my horse trainer said it best, “It’s beautiful to see him running free with the rest of the pack” and there is no way we could have done it without Larinda and Blue Cord K9.

I can’t even begin to express how grateful we are for the BluecordK9 family! My dog was wrongfully kicked out of a different program and labeled as aggressive due to being cornered and separated from me I then for BlueCordK9 and explained to them our story and once they met my dog they knew he was as sweet as could be and took him as a student and today he graduated his service dog training and I couldn’t be more proud of him and grateful for the BlueCordK9 family! We absolutely love working with Larinda! We’ve completed basic obedience and off-leash training, and we’re currently working on socialization training with our dog, Cloud. Each stage has been incredibly valuable, but what stands out most about the socialization training is how customized it is to fit our everyday life. Larinda truly tailors her approach to meet our specific needs, which has made a huge difference in Cloud’s progress and our confidence as owners.

We had the pleasure of working with Steven as our dog trainer for April, and the progress she made in such a short time was incredible. From day one, we saw a noticeable difference in her behavior. We were initially very hesitant about using tools like the prong collar and e-collar, but Steven took the time to thoroughly explain their purpose and proper use. His calm, knowledgeable approach helped us feel completely comfortable and confident implementing them. What really stood out was how clear and structured each session was. After every visit, we left with a solid understanding of our “homework” for the week, which made it easy to stay consistent and continue making progress between sessions. April has gone from being a total handful to truly feeling like part of the family, and we couldn’t have done it without Steven’s guidance. We’re incredibly grateful for his expertise and highly recommend him to anyone looking real results.

We engaged Larinda to help us socialize our foster dog (he was an absolute angel at home, but would become anxious and bark when out in public), and she was amazing at helping us understand the core causes to the behaviors as well as the solutions that could be employed to increase his confidence and encourage respectful interactions. In a short span of just a few sessions she gave me the tools and training I needed to help guide him towards being the calm, friendly dog I knew him to be at home. This has gone so well that in a span of just two months we went from a dog who couldn’t get within 15 ft of an unknown person or dog without him getting anxious and barking to this weekend when he calmly navigated a busy farmers market while happily getting pets from random strangers and walking past other dogs with not a care in the world. I cannot say enough positively about how Larinda helped educate us on how to understand our foster, the core of what he was communicating through his barking, and how to help him work on turning that anxiety into a confident and friendly neighborhood buddy!
