Blue Cord K9 exceeded our expectations! Larinda was awesome with our sweet 12-year-old Shih Tzu-mix little guy. She proved that old dogs as well as old humans can definitely learn new tricks! After losing our little guy’s 14-year-old mama dog this summer, we wanted to take our remaining senior pup with us when we went out or traveled. We needed help to make sure that our dog could go with us to restaurants, fairs, farmer’s markets, parks, hotels, etc., and behave well. We, along with he, needed to learn a set of consistent commands and rewards so that we could safely and confidently take him out. Larinda came to our home, met and evaluated our dog, ascertained our expectations and created a plan tailored to our dog and to us as pet parents. Over the next 3 months, we met approximately every two weeks. Each session was focused on a behavior or goal that we wanted to achieve - starting with easier tasks and building up to harder ones. IMPORTANT NOTE: you MUST expect to WORK WITH YOUR DOG and PRACTICE the lessons. In between, we had to continually work with our dog to reinforce the lessons. I actually think Larinda does as much “pet parent training” as she does the expected dog training. These private lessons were so much more effective and worthwhile, not to mention less stressful on our pup, than the group lessons that we had previously tried. My husband and I both agree - this training is TOTALLY WORTH EVERY PENNY! We now can proudly and confidently take our (now) well-behaved little guy with us to all kinds of places that wouldn’t have been possible before. I highly recommend Blue Cord K9 for basic obedience and off-leash training, especially working with Steven. I have an Aussie named Bailey and a GSP named Remington. Bailey had some reactivity issues around other dogs, and with consistent corrections, she’s now able to go out and about with me without worrying about how she’ll react. Remington had no recall and was pretty wild, but after consistent training, he now listens and has perfect recall. The program also helped me build confidence in myself to continue training my dogs. Thank you for everything — I can now fully enjoy my babies to their fullest extent!
