Blue Line K-9

I can't say enough about how great our experience with BLK9 has been. Our 1.5 year-old German Shepherd, Stella, gained so much confidence throughout her time with Teresa at the BLK9 training facility. This confidence has greatly decreased her reaction to other dogs & helped with her ability to focus on us with many distractions around her. Walking Stella prior to her completion of this training program was difficult but is now significantly easier. It was clear to me that Stella loved working with Theresa and that the staff at BLK9 really cares about dogs. I'd recommend BLK9 to anyone looking for a training program that sets their dog up for success.

So my dog and I have been here twice. My dog has major behavioral problems that include attacking strangers and other dogs. He has never bitten anyone, but not for lack of trying. On the first initial meeting, the lead trainer (he might be the owner) explained his methods to me as he led my aggressive dog who was actively resisting on a leash. Within less than 10 minutes, my dog was sitting peacefully beside him, and ignoring other dogs and other people. Then when I pointed it out, he took my dog over to the other dog and my dog did not lunge on the leash. I brought my dog back for doggy day camp, muzzled of course. He was very anxious, shaking, hiding behind me when I dropped him off When I picked my dog up, there were several things that I noticed-- 1. They handed me his muzzle and told me he didn't wear it once that day. 2. He was surrounded by people I don't know that he met throughout the day and he was calm and happy. What I saw was the dog I see at home, which I have never seen outside of home. 3. He was chill. Not anxious. Not hyped up. Not on alert. Just chill, confident and the way a happy dog is supposed to be.
