Our dog came home after an extended boarding time not knowing anything. We were even told “the only things they couldn’t teach her were sit and down”. Which were the only things she knew before she left. And she did again for us as soon as we got her back. I honestly had so much hope. We originally were supposed to bring our dog to the NJ location but after they pulled out of the franchise we were told our dog could have a spot in the MD location. We agreed. We drove her down and dropped her off. She looked miserable in every photo we saw. We were immediately contacted about her having a UTI which was nonexistent before she left. Their vet saw her. Extra charges. Etc etc. Two weeks turned into a month. At pickup they showed us how to train her moving forward but couldn’t even get her to do anything they apparently taught her. We’ve never felt worse. We later discovered she had invisible fence training (on our own) so of course the e-collar was confusing and petrifying to her and were stunned their qualified trainers didn’t pick up that she was reacting the way she was. And now we feel terrible that we sent her. The program is perhaps good if you’re training a German shepherd puppy. But I would absolutely never send a rescue dog here again. I feel like the worst dog owner ever 😞

Hi Laura. I am sorry that you experienced this disappointment with us. Including not feeling confident that you could call us to discuss these concerns. Minnie completed the agreed boarding + training program. Prior to graduation Minnie was freely offering her core commands and we demonstrated how to maintain and build on that work at home. As with any training, results depend heavily on consistent follow-through after the program, especially with dogs that have prior training history. This was a concern I shared with you at booking because of the distance and your ability to join our Pack Walks and Open Training options. You are correct at drop off on 10/6/24 we did not notice any health concerns. When we observed symptoms consistent with a possible UTI on 10/9 of her stay, we followed our standard welfare protocol and recommended veterinary evaluation. We also offered options at the time, which including sending her home to recover and arranging pickup. Because this stay occurred approximately 17 months ago, I cannot possibly know what has occurred between then and now, however I do still stand by our guarantee to continuously help our clients throughout their journey, and would be more than willing to have you join us for the offered continued education. — Hollie, Blue Line K-9 Dog Training
