Blue Mountain K-9

BEWARE! We boarded our two large breed dogs here which we later regretted. When we dropped them off, they didn’t check their vaccination records. They also did not allow us to view their kennels which was the second red flag. Any decent boarder will always allow you to view their kennels. The “play” space for the dogs was tiny and we never saw any dogs in there. During the boarding we had requested to receive daily photos that we did not receive as promised even upon multiple requests. As a result of their unresponsiveness, we felt worried for their health and safety. Further, we had scheduled our pup to be groomed upon pick up so that she would be clean upon our arrival. We confirmed this with them but to our surprise the groomer decided to change her appointment 3 days before pickup which completely defeated the purpose of the grooming appointment. They were happy to charge us for the grooming anyway. And when we picked up our dogs, you would never know she was groomed by how absolutely disgusting she was and her fur was matted with dried dirt and excrement. I am doubtful she was even groomed during her stay but we’ll never know. The worst part is the health conditions my dogs were in upon pick up. We found them stuffed in small kennels and who knows how long they were in there. They appeared not to have been fed or given water since they scarfed down both which is uncharacteristic of them, since they are generally slow eaters. The way they seemed starved of food and water was heartbreaking. Not only this but their stool was yellow in color and hard which we have never experienced with either of them. To top it off, one of my dogs was retuned to me with a bloody tooth and a fat lip. We cannot express our disappointment and frankly, anger, regarding the evident neglect of our dogs during their stay at Blue Mountain K9. I hope no one has an awful experience like ours. And PSA their dog “training” is a joke.
