Blue Phantom Dog Training

If I could give them a 20 out of 5, I would. Ashley worked with my two Great Pyrenees loves, and if anyone knows that breed, they know how stubborn and difficult they can be to train. To top that nuance off, these two were both rescues- neither of them had any training, or familiarity with people. They are both adult dogs, so the phrase, “teaching an old dog new tricks” far underestimated the challenges I faced with getting these two under control. The male was very territorial and dog aggressive. The female was highly destructive and had very poor manners with people as she would aggressively and persistently jump on them. Walking them was always a high stress situation. They would pull, and were very reactive if we saw other dogs or humans. I would have to take another route to avoid interaction, and the male was so strong that he had actually dragged people across the ground to aggressively pursue another dog: causing trauma and injury to whoever was walking them. Their behaviors were becoming a safety issue, but I knew that they deserved to have a happy, less stressful life. I have trained all of my other dogs very successfully without needing external support, but these two were challenging me beyond my capacity, and I was worried that their behavior would lead us to the point that we would either have to surrender them, or worse- they would have to be put down for hurting another animal or human. So- I started looking for trainers, and came across Blue Phantom. What appealed to me was that they offered an intensive training program that would consist of round the clock training: something I could not do for my dogs as I have work and children. Not only did Ashley send me frequent updates, pictures, and videos, she also provided follow up training after they finished the program, and still communicates with me to check on their progress… because she ACTUALLY CARES. Today, both my family and my dogs are happier and far less stressed. I can walk my dogs on leash with no issues, but even BETTER, I can walk them off leash with other people and dogs around with zero issue whatsoever. All previous behavioral problems are virtually nonexistent. Ashley gave them the attention and consistency they needed, and then gave me the tools and education to carry on giving them a better quality of life. If you’re experiencing similar issues with your loved furry ones, I would urge you to give them the opportunity to go to Blue Phantom to give them the better quality of life you have been yearning to give them. It is possible, and this was worth EVERY PENNY. This program changed all of our lives. Thank you, Ashley!!!

Took my 1 y/o Shiba to them for weekly basic obedience courses. They were kind and most of their techniques were good, but they also utilize slip leads and prong collars in their training which is not advertised or hinted at anywhere on their site or before classes. Had I know they used these methods I would not have gone with them. They have a no refunds policy so after the slip leads came out (day 1) I continued to attend, but I stopped after I told them I would not be using a prong collar on my dog. They advised me that "this is the training they offer" and we're a bit condescending about my concerns over the prong collar. If you're against aversive training methods or the use of slip leads or prong collars for training I would not recommend.

We cannot say enough good things about Blue Phantom Dog Training and our experience with Ashley. Our dog has always been a sweet boy at heart, but he struggled with aggression toward other dogs, extreme territorial behavior, and incessant barking whenever he saw people or dogs on the trails behind our house. It felt like we were constantly managing his behavior rather than enjoying time with him. After just three weeks with Ashley, our dog became a model citizen. Never in a million years did we think he would be capable of being off-leash in public, but thanks to Ashley’s training, not only does he now have amazing recall, but we also have the confidence to trust him in situations that used to feel impossible. He remained unfazed by distractions that would have previously triggered barking, and if he started to fixate, we could shut the behavior down instantly. Before working with Ashley, we felt limited in what we could do with our dog, always fearing an incident. Now, we have so much more freedom and peace of mind, knowing that both we and our dog are equipped to handle any situation safely.
