BlueDog

We have been bringing our dogs (fosters and personal dogs) to BlueDog for years and have had amazing results with their help! In classes, the trainers do a great job maintaining attention on all of the dogs, helping owners understand the importance of the skills and exercises, and demonstrating with the dogs themselves so owners can learn by watching. I always left class feeling like I'd learned something and feeling like my dog had made some kind of progress. I just moved out of town and have been struggling with my high-energy puppy and was able to do a couple virtual sessions with Kim and her advice was VERY helpful. Several of their trainers have also personally looked for trainers for me in my new area! I cannot recommend BlueDog highly enough.

I have worked with Nicole 1x1 both in-home & in the studio over the last year. It was the best choice for me as a first time dog owner. Nicole truly cares about the relationship created between owners and their dogs. She very much cares about the well being of the animals. As a trainer, Nicole is knowledgeable, instructs well and gives appropriate feedback. I'm a much more confident dog owner and have a dog that everyone enjoys being around.

I had the best experience with this company. I have a little over a year old golden retriever and things were out of control. She was biting and jumping at me that I had bruises on my arms. I was not the only one that she was doing this to but to my mom also. I was feeling defeated and took her to the vet thinking she had a medical issue and there was nothing wrong with her. My vet referred me to this company and the best decision i could have made. We talked first with Chris through zoom and then we had private training lessons. Through this process we learned that she is not aggressive and just still going through the puppy stage. We learned some new techniques that made sense to us and we saw the difference in her. I would recommend this company to anyone.

About three years ago we were having some issues with our beloved rescued cattle dog mix, Wilson. He was fearful and sometimes aggressive, particularly with men and other dogs. We were planning a renovation of our house that ultimately would take about nine months (turned out great by the way). Because the work was being done by men we decided that either Wilson was going to have to be taken out all day every day or he was going to have to come to terms with human males. Blue Dog sent Eric to our house for a series training sessions that taught us how to manage our own reactions and behaviors so that Wilson could become more comfortable with people. We eventually signed our dog up for Canine Good Citizen training (which he passed with flying colors). We have continued to use the techniques we learned and Wilson is a happier, much less fearful dog who no longer shows any signs of aggression. We take him to all kinds of places, including dog parks, and he does beautifully. If we ever get another dog we will be going to Blue Dog for puppy classes as early as we can. So, three years later, the proof is in the happy, confident dog.
