If you have a high caliber dog and you are looking for a great place to train your pet and brush up on your training skills, this is the place for you! I have been taking my Corso here for just over a year now and I absolutely love this facility! The people here are very knowledgeable and the owner has over 40 years experience training military dogs, dogs for disabilities, protection, obedience etc. I do see some negative reviews on here but do be aware that everybody's training style is different. Each dog needs a specific program tailored to them. Some dogs do well at PetSmart type facilities and others need a little more. Well, with this place you get above and beyond "a little more." They take their training seriously and believe that each and every dog has its purpose. They've helped with my dog overcome his food aggression and taught me the skills I need to be able to train and maintain my 120 lb Corso. He has become my obedient, controlled protection dog that I am able to take anywhere. This facility offer support on any given day! I'm able to pop in for a refresher at any time. I would recommend this facility to anybody!

6 mos ago (March 2022), I went to Mr. Smith for an evaluation of my sweet 2.5yo, high energy pittie. It took me months to return, because I didn't want to "hurt" my baby w/a prong or e collar....but walking my dog was not an enjoyable experience. Because he's so friendly, he'd pull me, and lunge at people & dogs so he could greet & play with them. Yet not everyone wants a pitbull lunging at them & barking at their dog - NOT a good look, no matter how friendly my Zulu is! Fast forward to Sept 2022. I live a 40-60 minute drive away, and considered trainers closer to me...but the main one I was considering still comes to Mr. Smith to learn from him! So I reluctantly drove, attitude and all, to Bob Smith's K9 Training. Within minutes of Mr. Smith taking Zulu's leash, my dog was listening & obeying! Mr. Smith teaches us owners how to train & handle our dog. He teaches how to PROPERLY & RESPECTFULLY use the prong & e collars. He invites family members to come learn as well. He is patient with both dog & owner, and, as big a guy as he is, he's so gentle with the dogs! Mr. Smith's trainers all have an obvious respect for him, and he's taught them well how to teach us and our dogs. The expertise of Mr. Smith & his staff is stellar. The whole experience is worth the long drive and the cost (which is more reasonable than most). Zulu & I are working our way thru all the trainings, beginning at Canine Good Citizen, and I look forward to the day my Zulu will pass his exams to be a Certified Therapy Dog, thanks to the training of Mr. Smith and his team. Support this small, Veteran & POC owned business. You'll have an exceptionally well trained dog, and the peace of mind that comes with it.

I brought my 7mo old gsd/border collie here in desperate need of learning how to manage such a high drive breed. I was paired with trainers Tom and Keith who helped me immensely through my 2 months at bob smiths! I was preparing for a cross country move and had concerns about how he would adapt to the transition, but he has done amazingly thanks to this place!! They were very patient with me and took the time and consultation to work with what felt comfortable to me and my dog. They helped both me and my dog learn how to have a relaxing and calm relationship and how to work with him in a productive way. I would definitely request Tom or Keith if you are planning to attend bob smith’s and tell them I say hello!!!
