Bold City K9

Bold City K9 is the best! My senior dog Maui went through their 6 week board and train program to help him learn obedience and help him overcome his reactivity. After finishing the program he is like a new dog as far as his behavior goes. Walking him is now a true joy and he is really thriving. Courtney and Gavin did truly amazing work with him. We had a follow up session today and they spent about 2 and a half hours with Maui and I helping me learn what he learned and how to interact with him when out in public to continue to reinforce the appropriate behavior. I really can’t overstate how much of a positive impact they had on Maui and would highly recommend them to anyone and everyone looking for dog trainers!

Courtney and Gavin were amazing from the very beginning. We reached out via email and set up a half-hour call with Courtney where we were able to ask all our questions and learn a little more about the board and train programs. We decided to enroll our 2-year-old GSP, Goose, in the 4-week program. Communication was easy and we got updates through Instagram while he was there. Goose has been home a few weeks now and is just such a good, clearly well-trained, dog. We used to dread walking him because he just pulled on the leash the entire time. Now he walks in step with us, loosely on his lead. He also enjoys freedoms that he's never had before because his off-leash recall is 100%. He'll be off-leash stalking something or invested in something, and when he hears his name, he's right back to us every time. Courtney even invited us back to brush up on his training a few weeks after his board and train program, which is an amazing offer! I'll be honest, I was very hesitant about investing so much money in ANY training for Goose. What if it "doesn't work"?! But, I am so glad to say I was totally wrong to be hesitant. Thanks to Bold City K9, Goose (and his parents) is happier than ever, enjoying more walks and time at the field than he ever would've gotten before!

This photo was hard to time since it's actually taken from a video. But of all the content I saw from Luna's Training, this one impressed me the most. Chickens running all around her, and her not leaving the command. Belgian Malinois love to target anything moving (one of the reasons Police agencies love them) and she is no different. However, she still needed to learn that obedience is more important and she can still be fulfilled in her drive in a plethora of ways. We didn't want a robot after training, and we didn't get one. She's the same dog but now with CONTROL! And because of her control she now has more FREEDOM! If you do your research (and you must be if you're reading this), you too will choose Bold City K9.
