Boston Dogtor

Boston Dogtor has been amazing! They have helped me train my GSD for more than a year, and have boarded him 4 times for extended trips. Compared to other trainers I researched, they approach training from the objective of creating a happy dog that’s fulfilled mentally, physically and emotionally — and they are successful because they have a behaviorist running things — not just dog trainers. That’s a HUGE difference. They don’t just teach dog tricks—they work on core fundamentals of the owner-dog relationship. Sad my puppy has become an adult I’m able to understand how his needs change and how I can be a better owner and leader. As a result I’ve had significantly better experiences than friends who have used other trainers. My pup can do tricks: he closes the drawers and cabinets while I’m cooking but it’s because he has a job and he loves it. He even turns on the music on command. He’s obedient and never disturbs dinners or begs for scraps. And *I* have learned how to extend the training to teach him new skills. But when any concerning thing happen, I talk to them and get rapid feedback about what to do to correct the issue. I recommend them to any owner who loves their dog and is willing to put in the work to form a deeper relationship with their best friend, and become a better owner.

I am so glad I found Boston Dogtor, I cannot thank Gevorg enough for all he has taught me and how well behaved my dog is now because of him! I have tried several trainers and they wouldn’t pick up the leash to those wanted to try prong and e- collars with no affect. Gevorg at Boston Dogtor took my 1.5 year old energetic “brat” who jumped on or over tables, pulled, growled at other dogs over food and toys, showed aggression and protective instincts where she was acting more and more like a “stereotypical pit bull” and yet he turned her into a well mannered dog! Before Gevorg, I didn’t think a day would come where she could be trusted to walk around the house without a leash. He does not hesitate to make corrections to how you are managing your dog as well as how you are correcting their behaviors. He ensures you are positively reinforcing good behaviors and correcting the negative (lunging, growling, pulling, barking, whining) in the second they occur. I could not be happier with the results my dog has shown to the point friends, family, neighbors and passerby’s comment on how well MY dog is (they need to take theirs to see Gevorg).

I put a lot of research into making my decision on what dog training service I should go with and I could not be happier. Gevorg's communication is great. They are extremely knowledgeable about dogs and training hard behavioral issues. My dog at 5 months was terrified of everyone and everything! We tried several trainers and then decided to do a board and train with Gevorg. Once we got her back she was a new dog. Now I can take her to busy streets and she loves it! She even gets to meet new dogs and people with no issues (she used to be super reactive towards other dogs). They are super busy, but definitely worth the wait!
