Bow Wow Behavioral

Bow Wow Behavioral's board and train program was absolutely life changing for my dog, Millie and I. Millie worked with both Ty and Laura to improve Millie's on leash walking and her constant jumping. Millie has been back home for a little over a day and the difference with her on leash and jumping behavior is actually insane! I feel like Millie has done a complete 180 and has made unbelievably improvement in the 2 weeks that she was at Bow Wow. Before Bow Wow, taking Millie on a walk would be an unpleasant experience. Now, I feel like I can confidently walk her, have her under control and enjoy our walks together. Looking forward to taking Millie on long walks on the lake front - something that we couldn't do before :) Ty and Laura also throughly explained her training to me and helped me better understand how to best communicate with Millie. This has also made such a huge difference- Their knowledge on dog behavior is impeccable!! After the board and train was over, Laura and I went on a training walk with Millie and I got to see first hand how to use leash with Millie. It was very nice to be able to go on a training walk with Laura - I was able to learn so much from this walk and Laura's patience is unmatched! I am looking forward to using the skills the Laura and Ty have taught me and I plan on using Bow Wow in the future for boarding! Definitely would recommend using Ty and Laura to train your pup!!!! I can’t say enough good things about Ty and Bow Wow Behavioral! I’m a first time dog owner and Ty has a way of explaining everything in a way that’s easy to understand. My dog Bailey is reactive around other dogs, and Ty’s knowledge on dog psychology, why she is reactive, and how we can correct it, is very impressive. I am already seeing improvement in Bailey and she is obviously learning what we are working on. Ty is also super nice and fun to work with! It is clear this is his passion! I’m really glad I chose Bow Wow Behavioral and can’t wait to continue with more sessions!

We came to Ty with issues with our dog including reactivity and leash skills and he has really helped us become more comfortable trusting our pup. On walks she would lunge at strangers and other dogs. She is now able to loose leash walk and is consistently able to pass other dogs without going nuts. Ty was great with our dog (who is typically not great with strangers) from the beginning. He was always kind and respectful to both us and our dog and is clearly very knowledgeable and passionate about what he does. Ty is a fantastic dog trainer and I would highly recommend him to anyone looking to take their dog training to the next level.

Bow Wow Behavioral boarding services are EXCEPTIONAL! From answering all my questions and easily scheduling pick up and drop off, using BWB for Arlo's boarding was seamless. Ty answered all my questions and provided all the necessary information prior to boarding. They also provided photos, videos and texts each day with how Arlo was doing (he loved running around with his dog friends in the yard) and great news is he loved it so much we will definitely use BWB for boarding in the future! Cannot recommend this extension of their training services enough!

I'm already very impressed with Ty, even after just the first session! My husband and I hired Ty to assist us with some specific issues we'd like to correct for our 7 year old corgi, and we already have the utmost confidence in the expertise that Ty brings to the table. He started out by engaging with our dog to see his initial temperament and then asked us for what we would like to focus on in our sessions. He listened patiently, took notes, and started us off with building the foundations of our training, from which we'll be able to train our dog most successfully. He broke down what we were doing and why in clear terms that helped us understand our pup's needs even better. Ty gave us some exercises to practice between sessions to prepare us and our dog for the next training sessions to address the behavioral issues we want to improve. The exercises are simple steps that are easy to practice between sessions, and I can already tell that they will make a huge impact on our training goals. Ty is great to work with, a clear communicator, and has a thorough understanding of training dogs. I'm excited to work with him over our next sessions and see the continued impact he has with us and our pup!
