FirstBarkWe did both group sessions and private lessons for our pup. We all really enjoyed learning with Danny and Tara. They made the whole experience super fun and low stress. Highly recommend those 2.

We are a boutique dog training company in Brooklyn. We have puppy classes, pet manners classes (what you might know has obedience classes :) and one on one private training. We offer dog behavioral consultations, while using only positive reinforcement, force-cree training, that strengthens your bond with your dog and helps them thrive in New York City. We worked with a couple different trainers in the neighborhood and were absolutely blown away by Danny at Brooklyn Pup! The whole team was incredibly responsive when we were initially setting up appointments and just after one session of Danny we noticed a huge improvement in our puppy, Walnut. Danny has continuously been able to mold his training to assist in specific issues we were having with Walnut, and has given us so much confidence in raising a puppy. We get so many compliments on how well behaved Walnut is and that is absolutely because of Danny! Can’t recommend Brooklyn Pup enough :)
We’ve tried several training courses in the area, but Brooklyn Pup is far and above the rest! What sets this program apart is that even in group classes your dog gets A TON of individual instruction. My dog and I have had the pleasure of working with Mary, Danny, and Anna, all of whom have been incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and kind.

We worked with Mary at Brooklym Pup for our 4 yo dog Lady, and she was amazing. Lady gets scared of a lot of things and can be nervous around new people. Mary broke it down for us why she likely acts this way and offered ways to train her to not exhibit bad behavior. She did them with Lady and her methods were clearly working. We practice training with her like this everyday and she's so much less scared/nervous. After our session, Mary shared a detailed follow up email with notes on what we discussed, which we've gone back to frequently. Mary even wrote us a recommendation letter for Lady for an apartment we've applied for. Could recommend BK Pup and Mary enough!
Really grateful for the training expertise of Mary and team at Brooklyn Pup! Still happily applying all of the tips we learned in the Basic Manners class to our daily routine. I also had the opportunity to work with Mary one-on-one for two private sessions, which were equally helpful. Would definitely recommend. Thanks so much!
