Brookside Gun Dogs are the best! Steve and Dillon Nicholas took my one-year-old French Brittany Spaniel and got her started on her journey to being a reliable, enthusiastic, and thorough hunter. She is a joy to watch and hunt behind thanks to the efforts of the Nicholas family. If your dog is a brand-new pup, or an older dog that has issues needing correction, the experience and patience of the trainers at Brookside cannot be equaled anywhere. Plus, they are just really nice folks! If you need a dog trainer, give these folks a try! If you don’t, it’s your own fault!

Our GSP is incredibly smart, but incredibly stubborn. She knew commands, but didn't respond all the time. She had great hunting instincts, but had an affinity to run off and have you play chase. She spent 3 months at Brookside, for obedience and bird dog training. We missed her terribly, but we received frequent updates and knew she was in good hands. She came back a completely different dog! She now listens so well and retrieves birds right to our hand. We are blown away by her temperament, her hunting skills, her leash skills, everything is so much better. We just spent the day bringing her to a soccer game, walking on a very busy public trail, and eating at a dog friendly restaurant. An exact replica of a day we had prior to training. Before, it was a hassle, constant pulling on the leash, constant correcting, all around stressful. Today, she sat perfectly by us during soccer, walked obediently next to us on the trail, and sat right by our side, quiet and content at the restaurant. Camping, hunting, walking, everything is better now, it is truly night and day from the dog she was before Brookside to the dog she is after Brookside. I'm thrilled with the results and am overjoyed to have such a well behaved, well rounded dog to bring on all our family adventures. I am so grateful to Brookside for putting in the work to make our best friend become such a valuable member of our family. I'd recommend them to anyone!
