Buck Country Retrievers

We’d HIGHLY recommend Buck Country Retrievers to anyone looking for a dog trainer! We couldn’t be happier with the results! Our lab came home finished and solid in his obedience and field training. This experience has set us up to enjoy a lifetime of memories with our sweet little bird dog! Hunter is extremely knowledgeable, patient, down to earth, flexible, communicative, and easy to work with. We felt very comfortable leaving our boy with Hunter and Courtney and could feel that they truly cared about his overall well being. We look forward to continuing to work with them in the future!

We recently had our dog trained at Buck Country Retrievers and couldn’t be happier! We are so thankful Hunter and Courtney trained our lab Brandy. Hunter took the time to get to know her personality and figured out the best way to train her. He pays very close attention to detail and figures out what your dog needs to improve on and works hard to perfect it. Along the way he showed us the different ways he taught her different skills. When we picked her up she was a completely different dog. She was so happy to get out in the field and shoot some birds. She was patient, obedient, and a very bird driven dog. Hunter definitely became one of her favorite people while there! He's a great guy who truly loves what he does and loves the dogs. We could not recommend Buck country retrievers enough and can’t wait to work with them in the future!

I would highly recommend Buck Country Retrievers, for a puppy and training! We got Bear, from EZ and Hanks litter. Hunter and Courtney were so nice, and made the whole process so easy. We reached out to them about training, I want to say around early July. Hunter asked us what we want Bear to be trained for. They offer pretty much all types of hunting training but at this time Bear has only done training for upland bird. Hunter was able to get Bear in right away which was awesome because we got him back in time for the fall hunting season! We also were able to go and pick him up a few times throughout the training, which was great because we got to work with him one on one at our home while also spending time with him. Overall Bear was able to learn a lot in just over a month. They took such amazing care of him, Bear is so comfortable around both of them which also makes a world of difference! Hands down every dog we have will be trained at Buck Country, and I will highly recommend to anyone looking for a puppy and/or training! We will also be sending Bear to them for boarding whenever needed! I could not express enough how grateful we are to have met Hunter and Courtney.
