I have agonized over whether to write this. Our dog is reactive with other dogs and has a very intense play style that instigates fights quite regularly. We sent her to a 2 week board and train with Ed from Bucks and told him our goals to desensitize her to dogs and start socializing her. I said my eventual goal would be to take her to a dog park safely. I told him that sometimes she is great with dogs, especially after the initial introduction, but then other times she is terrible and totally reactive and not in control. I wrote up all the info I could to help him work with her, and he conveyed a sense of confidence that he could work with her and train her with the e-collar. Four days into the board and train, he called us because he had taken her to a dog park and she had exhibited her intense play style and another dog had reacted and bitten her quite badly. She had a 4 inch long gash behind her ear that required stitches, then 2 months of wound care and careful monitoring, antibiotics, etc. Ed was extremely upfront about what had happened, he paid for all vet bills, and clearly felt terribly about what had happened. However, as we work with another dog trainer with a bigger operation, we have realized that it was quite irresponsible to take her to a dog park so early in training, without the use of a trained and practiced e-collar, and with unknown dogs. Our current trainer is going very slowly with her, and the process is tough because her reactivity is very engrained. Ed is clearly a dog lover and we think he would be excellent for general obedience training. However, we feel more complex issues like dog aggression or reactivity might warrant a trainer with a bit more experience with these issues. Ed was wonderful; there are no hard feelings, but we still felt it necessary to put this information out there for people with complex cases considering the 2 week board and train.

Ed Frebowitz was phenomenal! From before we brought our Puppy to his training facility and even after our puppy completed his training, Ed walked us through every step of the process towards our puppy becoming a well trained dog. Ed sent pictures and videos throughout our puppy’s stay of his training. We loved seeing his progress! Thank you Ed Frebowitz for helping our boy become a much better behave member of our family!

We had a fantastic experience with Ray from Bucks dog training. Our 1.5 year old, Piper, stayed with Ray for 2 weeks for a board and train. We are so impressed and happy with the turn out. He taught her how to behave properly, obey commands, and be calm. We are so grateful for his work with Piper. We now feel comfortable taking her places and finally feel like she is apart of the family! She is now able to be around people/other dogs, walk on a leash, and be trusted off leash. She has also stopped jumping on everyone she sees! We continue to work with Piper everyday on her commands and building trust between us. Thank you, Ray!

I would highly recommend Bucks Dog Training. We had bite issues and aggression with our 4 year old pit bull. He did not like strangers and was very aggressive to people and other animals and the situations were very scary. We were at the point to surrender him. We sent him to Bucks training and he’s a different dog. He’s calmer and we actually can bring him around other people. He’s a good boy now. Well trained and obedient. They sent us updates with pictures and videos and we were able to watch his progress. They answered questions immediately and were very involved in our situation. It’s actually a game and life changer. We will be sending our other dog with their help so we can function as a family. And we are very grateful for their expertise and their help.

Brought my little Bianca for training - she was a puppy mill dog and so afraid of humans. Ray did an excellent job of not only teaching Bianca she could be petted and held without being afraid but also taught me so many "tricks" not only for Bianca but my other two girls. Things have certainly turned around here - little by little - and I'm so appreciative of the care and support given to my little Bianca. Thanks, Ray - Love ya!!!!
