UPDATE: One year after her initial training and a couple of kennel stays with Buck’s Good morning 🌞 I have to tell you how impressed I am with Lola! We were out for our walk last night and she was unbothered by another dog that was walking paralleled to us across the street. She minded her own business the entire time! Then, just this morning we were walking by two small yapping dogs and she completely ignored them. She has come a long way! I never would have thought this was possible for Lola. All of her training has really helped her become the amazing dog I always knew she was. Thank you for all your hardwork and dedication to her! I took my dog Lola to Buck’s Dog Training to help with her aggression toward other dogs, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. The staff was patient, professional, and truly dedicated to her progress. By the end of her stay, Lola could walk calmly past another dog without lunging or jumping—something I never thought possible. The training has transformed her into a much healthier and happier dog. I only wish I had done it sooner! Not only has Lola’s behavior improved, but my own confidence in walking her has grown. I would highly recommend Bucks Dog Training!!!! My name is Candi and I own a 17 month old Longhair German Shepherd. Her name is Iris. Before taking her to Bucks dog training I had actually thought about finding a good home for her. She is an amazing fur baby!!! I just thought she was to much for me to handle. She would jump on me and bite at my ankles and yes she has knocked me down quite a few times. She wouldnt listen and she was very hyper. I love Iris so I thought I would try Bucks dog training. After looking at the reviews I sent them a message and I immediately got a returned phone call from Stephanie! We talked for a long time. She listened to all of my problems I was having with Iris and we decided to do the 2 week training. During the 2 weeks I received pictures and videos daily and messages of her progress. Iris also has stomach issues and when she did i would receive a message from Stephanie and she would tell me that they were going to give her chicken and rice. They took great care of her!!!! I felt at ease when I left her that day. After the 2 weeks I went and picked Iris up and WOW what a transformation!!!!! Iris is very well mannered now. No jumping, no running in the house, no dragging me when we go out for walks and no knocking me down. I would highly recommend Bucks Dog Training for your fur baby!! Everyone there is amazing! I have also had a few questions since Iris has been home and I always get a response. They continue to work with you even when your pet leaves. Stephanie and her team are very nice, knowledgeable, caring and eager to work with your fur baby. I am so glad that I took Iris there. I now feel like I can handle her. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Stephanie and the entire team at Buck’s Dog Training. Working with them was an exceptional experience, and I could not have asked for a better outcome for my four rescue dogs. My dogs are a unique group: a male puppy just under two, two five-year-old siblings, and a ten-year-old dog with significant anxiety and fear in unfamiliar situations. They also had special feeding schedules, food, and medication needs. Stephanie listened carefully, treated each dog as an individual, and developed a customized plan for our entire clan. The team went above and beyond to help the dogs adjust. Because they were not accustomed to kennels or crates, the team kept them near one another so they could see each other and feel less anxious. When the original setup was especially difficult for my oldest dog, they moved the dogs to another area that helped him feel more secure. Their patience, flexibility, and compassion meant so much to me. I also received frequent video updates, so I could see their progress and never had to worry about how they were being cared for. We sought training because adding a puppy had changed the dynamics at home. We were dealing with dog bullying, chasing vehicles in the driveway, barking, jumping on visitors, and not coming when called. My list was long, and my expectations were high. Our puppy, Tucker, was initially scheduled for three weeks, with the other dogs joining him later. Once Stephanie saw that their fear and low confidence were greater than expected, she immediately began checking in with me and adjusting the plan. As the original end date approached, we had an honest discussion about my goals, my “must-haves,” and each dog’s progress. I never felt pressured to extend their stay. Stephanie explained how they could come home as planned and what I could continue working on, but we ultimately chose to extend the training so they could build on their progress. The program was never one-size-fits-all; it evolved based on how each dog responded. It has now been two weeks since graduation, and the difference in our home is night and day. Our puppy was calmer from the first day home. He will now “PLACE” on his mat and stay there even with activity around him. When bullying begins, one “OUT” command helps the dogs separate. The commands I watched in the training videos really do work at home, and our household is safer, calmer, and more peaceful. The support also did not end when the dogs came home. Buck’s offers follow-up refreshers, and the team remains available through a group chat for questions and coaching. That ongoing support is invaluable because owners also need practice. I am currently reinforcing our priorities—PLACE, OUT, COME, SIT, and DOWN—and will continue building from there. Four dogs do not come home and perform perfectly without continued work, but Buck’s gave us practical, realistic tools we can successfully use. My only regret is not bringing all of my dogs here as puppies. Any future rescue dogs who join our family will begin training with Buck’s early. If you have a dog who needs training—especially one with fear, anxiety, trust concerns, or unique needs—I highly recommend calling Buck’s Dog Training and speaking with Stephanie. Choosing Buck’s was one of the best decisions we could have made for our four dogs. For some families, “sharing space” might not be a major concern, but it was one of my top priorities.
