Building Bonds Behavior Center provides professional, force-free dog training and behavior consulting in Tucson, Sahuarita, and Green Valley, Arizona. Led by certified behavior consultant Kim Silver, Building Bonds specializes in puppy training, everyday behavior challenges including fear, anxiety and stress, using science-based, positive reinforcement methods. Services include private training, behavior consultations, and group classes tailored to each dog’s individual needs. When my puppy gets all his shots will it be okay to start training
Hi Sandra,
We offer a puppy preschool class for undervaccinated puppies 8-16 weeks of ag. The medical requirement are that they must have received their first distemper/parvo vaccine and ten days must have passed since it was administered. You must also provide us with a copy of a negative fecal test result indicating no parasites were found in your puppy's stool. We sanitize our entire facility and equipment used during the class with Rescue, a veterinary hydrogen peroxide based cleaner before each preschool class. For puppies who have completed the series of puppy vaccines and have their rabies vaccine, we have a puppy kindergarten for puppies 4-7 months of age.

This is my first dog training class and I am very impressed with the individual care and professional knowledge that Kim and Michele offer. There is priority for safety, understanding of various issues and backgrounds and a FUN, diverse curriculum for both the dogs and humans. Building Bonds offers any type of training needed, including free office hours for consultations on particular challenges. Both my dog and I feel most welcome every time we take class, whether it be online or in person.

Kim and her team at Building Bonds deliver top-notch dog training. They are generous with their time on the phone and in person to not only train our dog Tobi, but explain and discuss things with us humans so we can be as effective in the process as possible. Results seemed to happen each session. It was a pleasure seeing our dog gain more awareness and confidence, and develop into a more centered, well mannered individual. The knowledge, skill, professionalism, and friendliness at Building Bonds are all exemplary, and I recommend them 100%.

Kim and Building Bonds are fantastic. We're taking Manners 1 but had previously had some in home training. Kim is fantastic with all types of difficult behaviors but is also outstanding with easy going dogs and their people who need training. Her training is effective and all positive reinforcement. Her incredibly calm demeanor makes the classes enjoyable. The classes are small so you get the benefit of being in a class environment but with individual attention!

What do you want from an online class -- up-to-date knowledge, great detail and very thorough content. That's what you get with Kim's BAT course!!!! I can't say enough about it, and Kim's wealth of experience and examples to draw upon!!!

Dog trainer Kim (out in Green Valley) is an asset to the community. She's patient, thorough, and teaches through a fear free method. I learned from her that dog behavior modification actually starts with training me, the owner. I had taken my ShihTzu Walter to a class at Building Bonds called Reactivity Reimagined. Walter was reactive towards other dogs while out walking on leash. After attending the series of group classes, I gained confidence and knowledge to help Walter feel more relaxed and comfortable around other dogs. Today, he is a very social pup, wants to make friends, and is non reactive.
