Bulletproof Dog Training

Great facility with knowledgeable training staff. My 6 month old Cane Corso left with a much more focused disposition and is much more obedient. He is still a puppy with tons of energy but the response to commands is much improved. Elle was my trainer and I cant say enough about her approach to training. She was very easy to coordinate with and even helped with some advice after the training was complete!

Chip was our trainer and I can’t say enough about how amazing he was. He sent us the BEST updates and pictures nightly. I was always looking forward to his updates. He is so passionate about the work he does and it shows in not only him, but the dogs he trains also. Our dog went from being a nightmare to take into public and constant pulling on the leash and lunging at other dogs to being able to walk by another dog with just a turn of his head. We can take him out in public and he’ll stay in the command he’s given until we give another command. Chip made the turnover so comfortable. It can be intimidating at first but he worked us through it with our pup and we learned together. He still texts us and asks for updates and is always so helpful whenever we have questions. I am beyond grateful that we found Bulletproof Dog Training. It changed our lives, literally.

So many great things to share about the 15-day boarding program! I'll try to keep this brief (but thorough as possible for those who are interested). 1. From the start, David at Bulletproof Dog Training took time to listen to my greatest concerns and answered all of my questions. Our 4 year old shepherd-mix, Pax, has had some training at a pet store, but they didn't taken the time to understand her history (she is from Animal Defense League, she is friendly to people, but her anxiety around other dogs leads to aggression). We needed professional training. 2. Dropping off Pax was a little emotional for me because two weeks has been my longest time away from her, but everyone there was friendly and welcoming. They spent time informing me about what to expect so I left knowing that Paxy was in the hands of caring professionals. 3. Our trainer, Shelbie, communicated with us daily about Pax's progress (texts, photos, and videos). It was so nice to be able to share what Pax was learning with our family despite the time away from her. It was clear that Shelbie cared for Pax and got to know her the way we do; she understood how Pax can be stubborn and playful, and she let her personality shine while still holding her to expectations. The best videos we received featured Pax being able to work around other dogs without losing control. Honestly, this is the reason we put her in school (and I know that this will take more time with training), BUT it was such a milestone in her development. 4. On pickup day, Shelbie walked us through everything that we need to do to support Pax (this part is done without your pet in the room so you can focus on the information). An hour later, we had our reunion with Paxy and we could tell that she was excited to show us what she had learned. It was also obvious that Pax had formed a strong bond with her trainer. Shelbie took time to model and let us practice commands with Paxy. We never felt rushed. Random thought: Bring water or a snack for yourself. Dog training is basically human-training. I was a little tired and thirsty by the end :) 5. Pax is home. It feels a little like a honeymoon phase, but she's also giving us the resistance in which Shelbie prepared us. New rules at home take time to implement. Shelbie recommended that we continue the training in 2-3 short sessions because that's what works with our schedule. It feels manageable and I'm happy to be connected to a network of people who care about dogs.
