California Canine Dog Training

California Canine Academy is my dog, Keir’s, favorite place after his house. He loves going there. As soon as a mention “Keir, we are going to your school” he is all ready, goes to his leash and ready to go out of the door in seconds! However, it’s not only Keir who lives this place. It’s us, doggy’s mom and dad. I have deep gratitude and appreciation for support Ashley and Meagan, dog trainers give to my Keir. When he came to live with us, he was 3.8 yo, rough collie, with basic mobility assistant training who lived on a farm like setting and was prepared for a lady with MS. Keir never seen men, kids and many cars in his life. Our place was a culture shock for him. We were desperate for help with dog’s barking on kids, cars, everything and everyone. California Canine Academy trained Keir and us. We learned how positively reinforce good behavior and desensitize bad behavior. It was a labor of love but… it was all worth it! Our Keir is a huge success story all thanks to the perfect guidance from Canine Academy.

First day of Puppy Pre K!! What fun to have this structured playdate with other puppies still under Parvo/Lepto protocols (puppies that have not yet finished puppy vaccine series, so not allowed to frequent public areas). Facility is spotless and instructors Ashley & Timberly are kind and extremely knowledgeable. Amazing variety of young puppies: terriers, hounds, retrievers, minis & mixed! Wonderful meeting other owners and commiserating over potty training, lack of sleep and being human chew toy. Nice to know I’m not alone in this, and California Canine is there to help!!

Our dog Chili has been going to California Canine since he was a puppy. He’s learned so much and has made great friends. Chili loves all his teachers, especially Maegan and Ashley. All the teachers are great and very knowledgeable and make classes so fun. I’ve always wanted to have a therapy dog and California Canine offered classes and had great information on how to use our certificate after we passed. There’s so many classes to choose from. Right now we are doing the scent class and it’s been great for our dog to use his sniffer and learn a new skill. We recently got married and our pup was so well behaved he could be off leash and the venue was very impressed. I was thrilled because that mean he got more privileges at the venue! I highly recommend California Canine to anyone who is looking for a great training center for their dogs. You’ll have a blast and your dog will thank you!

I highly recommend California Canine! They quickly scheduled an initial consultation and were able to quickly assess the training needed. My dog got the private training lessons (Ashley is the best!), but they host a variety of other classes. This place is clean, quiet (especially if you’ve got a reactive dog), efficient, and professional! I always feel like they go above and beyond to make sure your dog is comfortable in a stable environment.
