After combing through what felt like every local dog trainer on Google, I found CALM FAMILY DOG Training — and I’m so grateful I did. Sue responded quickly, took the time to call me personally, and thoughtfully walked through all of my concerns and goals for my 11-week-old Shih Tzu. She immediately put me at ease and assured me we could absolutely make progress. We chose in-home training sessions, and from the very first visit, the results were remarkable. Sue’s approach is calm, kind, and appropriately firm — and most importantly, it truly works. The transformation has been impressive. My puppy not only responds beautifully to her methods, but genuinely adores her (and happily gravitates toward her for cuddles, which I fully support!). Our pet Chico came to us from a family member. He was solely an outside pup but with us he would need to become an inside pup because it was not safe for him to be outdoors in our home. We were told about Calm Family Dog Training and immediately contacted Ms Sue to help us and Chico live a joyful life. Chico was a very active uncontrolled pup. He needed to learn how to listen to commands and we needed to learn how to enforce them. Once Ms Sue started the training program we could immediately tell the difference on how smart Chico was and capable of being taught. It seemed simple to us to implement the training but it was not. We needed to understand the importance of consistency and using the correct techniques and continued practices. Chico, my husband and I learned so much from this amazing training program.
