He’s already a better puppy and I a happier human after just implementing a few of her professional skills so far. Phew! We rescued a small 5 week old puppy from the woods. Not knowing her breed. Turns out she has calahoula leopard dog genes, and is strong in body and spirt. Treating her like a human child, allowed my beautiful puppy to try and become alpha. Causing biting, nipping, jumping. We had Clarissa come to the house for training us. Showing us the really easy ways to help stop our pup from becoming the boss. With something as easy as how I give her her food and lots of good tips. I was on the verge of rehomeing the pup. She is already responding positively to the things we learned. Our biggest mistake is thinking our puppy thinks like a human. I'm really happy with what we learned. My pup is 4 months old. I should have gotten training help a month sooner. We are all working in the right direction now
Clarissa was warm, professional, extremely knowledgeable and genuinely interested in helping us manage our reactive shepherd. She took her time to ensure we were comfortable with the techniques she shared and made sure every concern we had was addressed. Great mannerism!
