When she began her camp experience with Aaron, she was extremely timid, had difficulty being around unfamiliar people, and did not always follow commands which created other issues. While with our trainer, he kept us informed of her progress. Once he brought her home he took the time to train us and answer all questions. Aaron improved Gracie’s behavior significantly and we would absolutely recommend “Camp Lucky.” It has changed Gracie’s life as well as ours! Thanks Aaron!!!!!

Willie and I just returned from a session with Andy at Scheels. Willie was perfect. I was able to walk around the store off lease with Willie at my side. When we would stop Willie would lay by my side until it was time to move. Even though there were a million distractions (kids, a full sized Ferris Wheel, shopping carts, other dogs, etc). I had total confidence he would calmly stay with me.
I could give many more examples, but this store experience says it all.
When I decided to use professional trainers I definitely had a thought that my two dogs were doing great with a couple concerns like jumping, but now I know what amazing value this training yields.
I know there’s a number of companies that will take dogs and train them. I can only speak to Camp Lucky and Andy. They are worth every penny. I highly recommend them.

Twilly is beautiful and sweet, but she is an opportunist. Misty taught her she can’t get away with that! Now Twilly boards with her, she loves it. Missty reinforces her training, is loving and a great trainer. The home environment is a special for training and boarding. Twilly is a better dog and we are happier pet owners!

“We had fantastic results with or 2-year-old, reactive Bohemian Shepherd after a 3-week board and train session with Camp Lucky Board and Train (Kansas City, MO). Misty, our trainer, took our pup under her guidance and 24/7 care. Misty transformed our overly anxious dog into an obedient, confident dog that now works well with strangers (people and other dogs). We have been through basic puppy class and three other trainers, but still could not control his tendency for reactivity and wariness with strangers. With Misty’ s training, we are now able to take our dog on walks, in stores, parks and other gatherings. Misty was very professional and loving of our dog. After meeting us and our dog to evaluate his needs, she took him through all kinds of challenging scenarios and gradually introduced him to the objects of his anxiety (strangers). At the end of the stay, Misty spent a few hours with us to train us as well on how we continue her training. He’s a much more confident and trusting dog now. We will be boarding Koda with Misty in the near future. He will be in good hands. We highly recommend Camp Lucky Board and Train.”

I sent my 2 year old Pitbull, Gemma, to Camp Lucky. Gemma is a sweet girl, but needed some help with learning some commands. She did the 2 week board and train with Mistty and oh my goodness! Gemma has been home for almost a month now and our time together is so much more pleasant. She already knew how to sit, go down, and shake. But…now she can do so much more! We can go on a walk with her on a heel. No more pulling! She will halt and sit or go down beside me. She knows how to go to a place both in and outside of the home! Gemma struggled jumping on guests as they entered the house, but now she will wait in her place until released and then go to the people and sit to be pet. Gemma will stay in a place location in another room while I cook dinner and will not leave until I release her. We also struggled as she had learned to jump my fence. She has only done it once since returning and after correction has not tried again. I cannot recommend Camp Lucky enough, especially Mistty. Not only did Gemma come home with so many more manners, I know Mistty loved on her and took such good care of her! I got pictures, videos, and report cards while she was gone! Gemma took trips and was being trained in stores and restaurants. And almost more important received so many cuddles and so much love while she was away from home. If you’re looking or questioning doing a board and train program, look no further! Camp Lucky and Mistty are your answer!
