Camp Mutt Dog Training & Boarding

I was told I could drop my dogs off at 7 am and nobody arrived until 745 for doggy daycare. I had nowhere else to take my dogs so I ended up being late to where I needed to be because of this. When I picked up my dogs earlier than expected the lady at the desk gave me attitude because it was their lunch time. When I finally got my dogs back they smelled of urine and nasty dog. They were only there for five hours. My puppy was also sick for a week after this.

Editing a month after my last review.... Will include at the end. So it has been 2 weeks since my baby boi has been home from his training at Camp Mutt and I can say I will NEVER refer anyone there. Anyone who knows us and met Riot before hand knows how well behaved he was for being a 7 month cane corso puppy. While he is not aggressive towards us, he has shown some signs now that makes me wonder how he was treated at that place. Whatever you do, DO NOT GO TO CAMP MUTT. I was very nervous about him going as it was, but she assured me that they would send out weekly updates and that pictures are posted on their social media For the 4 weeks he was there, I had to reach out asking for updates and it took her sometimes 2 days to respond. During that time, no Social media was updated until the end of his 3rd week and that was after I asked her about it. We gave them a brand new bag of food that normally lasts barely a month with us giving him wet dog food and fresh meat in it, and yet he came home with a quarter of his bag still full. He actually lost weight while there. I now have to rewire what they instilled into him for that month. Now a month an half after bring my baby home after being abused at Camp Mutt, I have learned some more things. If you have a large breed dog, DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOG HERE. They OVERUSE an ecollar to the point of abuse. My pup went in, with some experience of an ecollar we had at home. So I wasn't concerned, but when he came home he was SCARED. Just seeing the remote made him timid. It got me thinking. When we picked him up, Kristen states to use the ecollar at 45-60, which i thought was a bit excessive but hey, she's the trainer and SHOULD know. After doing research online bc while yeah the ecollar they used, did come home with us, it didnt include the manual, I learned that the remote was programmable to have a "conditioning" level and a "boosted" level for when he was out of control. His conditioning level is about 18-20. SHE WAS HITTING MY DOG WITH 45-60 on the daily for a month. Its no wonder he was terrified. He was skittish EVERYWHERE we went. Before he went there, I never left him home so he was used to being socialized. My mom's house was somewhere he had frequented often before. A week after coming home, we took him with us to a family gathering and he was aggressive to people he has known since we got him at 8 weeks old. We are final getting our baby back to being confident in himself and trusting we have his back, but it is still a long ways to go to fix what this place did to him. They might be able to handle the small dogs, but bigger ones, they obviously scare into obedience. Do not trust Kristen with your babies if you care about them. I would give a negative star rating if I could.

Ava our brown boxer was riddled with anxiety and so super stressed she was stressed and lashing out towards our other dogs in nasty fights. Being my husband's baby and her being a source of comfort for him with his own anxiety and PTSD Camp Mutt went ABOVE AND BEYOND to meet all of our needs. Kristin and her team gave us the time and effort we needed to get his girl back in a happy place! Weeks after graduating she remains happy and confident and now is eager to meet new friends wherever we go. Meeting strangers was very difficult for her, ears and tail tucked, growling, and now, tail wags and kisses for everyone! Because of Camp Mutt and all of the amazing people there, my home is calm and peaceful again!! Thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts for being sooo amazing with Ava!!
