Long story short - Yes, I recommend Can Ur Dog Do This. Here is why.... My 18-week-old, mostly foxhound puppy quickly proved to be the most stubborn, non-obedient puppy my husband and I have ever tried to live with, much less train to be a fun and loving family member. She is sweet, sweet, sweet but more stubborn than sweet. We couldn’t leash train her because she was out of control chocking/gagging herself. We were basically shunned from the small size dog park because she annoyed every dog and dog parent at the park. We tried to instruct her to stop her bad "puppy" behavior but she didn't even bother to acknowledge our presence much less our commands. And finally, there was an occasion when she got away from us and caused havoc in the neighborhood because she was running wild and would not allow anyone to get close to her. Her shenanigans that day caused another dog to wrap her leash around her older owner's legs. I was in a panic because he easily could have tripped and would have fallen in a ditch. I am so thankful that didn't happen. I desperately called “Can Ur Dog Do This” and spoke with the owner, Steve. He said, “bring her in and let’s see how we can help her”. I’m not kidding, he had my puppy healing by him within about 15 minutes. She was even watching for his next directive as she walked with him. It is obvious that Steve, the owner, and Dianne, the lead trainer, truly loves dogs and understands their behavior. We chose to enroll our pup in the 30-day Boarding Session. Yes, it was so very hard leaving our puppy with “strangers” and other big dogs all around but I was comfortable that she would be well cared for. It had to be done for my pups' safety and for my sanity. My first visit was 2 weeks into her 4-week program. I went with Dianne to the park and walked that sweet dog around the park for an hour. It was such a blessing to know that we would be able to enjoy our crazy little rescued puppy and she would be a fun, well-behaved family member that could participate in life with us. My puppy was super happy to see me that day but it didn't bother her at all to leave me in order to start her afternoon kennel nap. :) She was a happy "Camper". A big call out to Nick because I so enjoyed his training videos walking with our puppy. I never saw his face, just his famous "Blue Crocs" and his reassuring pats to tell our puppy she was doing a good job. All that said, Yes, I do recommend Can Ur Dog Do This as a professional dog training service for any age, any breed, any problem behavior. I plan to continue to get training and continue to build the strong foundation that was created during the 30 day in-house training program.
