Our male, a recent rescue, was fearful and aggressive to strangers. Both dogs were stubborn and difficult to train on our own. Can Ur Dog Do This took both dogs for the 30 day train and board program and retuned our dogs completely change. They are both calm, confident and obedient. They follow commands and are easy and safe to walk (off leash no less!). No more jumping on people, uncontrolled barking and aggressive behaviors. The training was worth every penny and the continued support and training after the dogs came home has been phenomenal. My only regret is that we didn’t find Steve and his trainers sooner. They have changed our family’s (fur babies included)life for the better. THANK YOU Can Ur Dog Do This!
Our dog Tuck, and daughter’s dog Bama were not bad but the incessant barking at other dogs, pulling when walking and overall excitability was not a good thing. Steve and Nick have transformed them along with us. You can tell that they have a passion for training and loved our dogs. Plus the periodic videos helped with our separation anxiety. I love my 5 year old boxer, Berkeley. She is the sweetest most overprotective girl I have ever had. She took overprotective to another level, which turned into dog aggression…she was pretty great with obedience until something distracted her, like another dog. Nothing I could do could break her laser focus from whatever dog or sometimes human caught her eye. My own nervousness about her behavior only made her worse. I had been debating on professional training for a couple years. Then my son brought home a lab puppy…my anxiety got the better of me for introducing them to each other and I called Steve. Steve brought Berkeley around his pack, she definitely did not want to go near the pack of 7, but he tugged her along, they were barking at her and she went nuts on them through a fence. Steve said one word and all his dogs calmed while mine was acting like a complete fool on the other side. He told me a non aggressive dog would have stayed cowered, but she thinks she is a bad B. Then he also told me I am only enjoying 30% of my dog, can’t take her anywhere and can’t trust her to behave. How true that statement was and my heart sunk. I had to leave her for 30 days. The first two weeks were terrible for me and I was probably the most annoying mom asking for updates. They all were great though, letting me know little things they were working on, talking about her personality and posting videos of her progress. I think my sadness was cured when I finally got to come see her and start training with her, trainers were coming and going and she got the boxer wiggles when a trainer would walk by and give her loving pats. The first day I got to walk through the public spaces with her was incredible and each training session after (for me as much as her) was more and more astounding. She was facing things I never thought and responding to commands I could never get her to listen too. While I say her obedience was good before, this was training on steroids!!! Now that the 30 days are over and I have her home, she is once again a true companion, I can take her anywhere, to the flea market/parks/stores, I can take walks with friends and their dogs, I can’t wait for road trips and beach trips and all the other things!! She also plays with the puppy, tussle play and run around with each other and I have no anxiety spikes about it! My faith and trust in my dog is returning and I am more encouraged to keep her training going, it’s not a chore to try and get her to cooperate she knows what to do now and I know she is capable (while amazingly stubborn and completely adorable). One of the perks, any new issues or any questions, Steve and his team are very responsive and offer help and good advice and training sessions down the road!! I am extremely thankful!!!
