Canine Academy

We had such an incredible experience with Canine Academy, especially working with Sam. When we adopted Ruby, she was timid, reactive to other dogs, and had accidents whenever people came over. After completing Beginner, Intermediate, and Off-Leash training, she’s now confident, well-behaved, and still the fun, spunky dog we love. Walks are stress-free, guests can visit without worry, and boarding during training was such a relief knowing she was safe and cared for. The whole team is responsive, supportive, and truly cares about the dogs. We can’t recommend them enough!

My golden retriever puppy was abused by the trainer in front of an entire class. It was horrific! Trainer repeatedly stepped on leash attached to dogs neck to initiate down position. Puppy was very afraid and urinated from fear and kept squealing. Trainer continued stepping down on leash to force puppy into a down position, Puppy was traumatized as well along with class members. NEVER returned again! Later learned from another organization that it was the floor’s surface that puppy was resistant to! Beware!
