Canine Academy Columbus

We used Canine Academy for our two year old bernadoodles, Chip and Waffles. The facilities are remarkably clean and well kept - especially for how many pups they care for. We were lucky enough to get trainer Alex, who was so good with our boys. They had such a good sense of their commands after the week with Alex. Moreover, Alex made all the information so easy to understand & digest for us - as we had to learn how to keep up training in just two hours. He has made himself accessible any time / day, making continued training with our boys a breeze. Highly recommend Canine Academy & Trainer Alex ! ! 5 stars !!

We travelled 2.5 hours each way to take our pup to training and we would do it again and again. Alex Ebert was our trainer and he was the best!!! Our dog’s listening skills and behavior are night and day difference from before he went there. We even skipped our follow up meeting because we are doing so well. Alex has checked in multiple times, answered every question and made us feel heard and has also told us we can reach out anytime if need be. If we get another dog in the future- we will most definitely be requesting Alex as our trainer!!!

I cannot recommend Canine academy enough!! We have an 8 month old golden doodle named Kobe who needed some serious help when it came to leash manners and basic obedience. When I say our dog was a puller on leash, I mean he was a PULLER. We had tried everything with him and I thought for sure he would never walk well on leash. We called up canine academy and got Kobe enrolled into their board and train program with our trainer Kayla. Kayla is AMAZING!!!! She has so much patience and knowledge on dogs it’s truly incredible. Kayla worked with Kobe for 8 days and worked her magic. Kobe has been home with us for about a week now and his transformation is incredible. We work with him everyday and walk him twice a day to keep up with his training! You MUST continue this training program at home with your fur baby if you want your pup to be the best they can be! Our biggest worry was getting Kobe to walk well on leash and now I can say I have a dog that doesn’t make walk time stressful! During our walks I have had people who have asked how we got Kobe to behave so well on leash! I never thought we would ever get asked that question and it makes me so happy. Kobe has only been home a little over a week but is continuing to improve every day. While our biggest concern was his leash manners, he also learned so many basic obedience manners while he was there. Kobe now has patience and listening skills that I have never experienced from him. He absolutely loves his training and you can tell how much he wants to listen and improve! I was worried that training may affect his personality but he is the same goofy boy that I dropped off on day one! I have zero regrets with taking Kobe to canine academy and cannot thank our trainer Kayla and their care team enough for taking such good care of our boy. Kayla and the care team also send pictures/updates of your fur baby everyday!! Thank you canine academy and Kayla for creating a wonderful foundation in Kobe’s training that we can continue to build on at home!

I highly recommend Canine Academy. Our dog, Penny, has had ongoing struggles with basic obedience and leash reactivity. After trying many different training approaches, we decided to enroll Penny in their board and train program. Penny worked with trainer, Shannon Busher, who was amazing. Shannon listened to our concerns and constantly provided us with feedback and guidance throughout the whole process. Penny’s transformation has been astounding and her behavior has improved significantly. I now look forward to our walks together and feel more confident when handling her.
